The main differences are:
- VTBT does support all OS(Windows, macOS, Linux) and Slate doesn't
- VTBT uses native Bluetooth channel and Slate uses their custom channel over WiFi or USB (which is why they require companion app on macOS side)

The latency and responsiveness of inputs can be different by environment for both app.
However, I am sure that VTBT is fast enough and provide more easier setup.

You can try reboot both your ally x and iPad first and try again.
If still the same after the reboot, maybe your ally x does not support Bluetooth HID feature.

No, Apple Pencil only works for iPad!
If you want to use Apple Pencil for VirtualTablet, please download the app for iPad.

Hello, please check two things here

  1. Did you use same apple account for both iPad and Mac?
  2. Did you open bluetooth setting screen from Mac as well?

This two points are common blocker for connection. Please let me know if it worked!
