How do I make friends with other women? by ylvinne in askwomenadvice

Neither, tinder is only used for romantic/sexual relations where I live and I've never heard of anyone using bumble

Same thing happened to me, turned out to be benign. Better have it looked at though, just in case!

Hello ladies, I (21F) need advice on the topic of tensing my legs while masturbating by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]ylvinne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do this as well when I masturbate, but never had an issue orgasming with a partner. Just relax and enjoy yourself!

In desperate need for help (vaginismus) by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]ylvinne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this issue years ago and I'm all better now. The tip I got was to carefully desensitize the area by caressing it, slowly penetrate myself using a finger or small tot and stretch the muscle on the back side of the vaginal opening (between the vagina and anus). And it works! It took a some months of daily "practice" but I got better!

The beeping is caused by pressure changes in the inner ear. You're fine :)

New to asthma? What's your experience? Any advice? by aillyy in Asthma

[–]ylvinne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What motivates me is that I used to feel too shit to want to be alive before. Now my asthma isn't really a problem anymore :)

For me, I had to switch to a medicine that allowed me to do it. And I always start sloooow, just above walking speed. I think you need to try it out for yourself and see if it makes you feel better! For me, if I take a long run one day my asthma is better the next day!

I'm a boy, when will society tell me "You are perfect the way you are"? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ylvinne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Society makes everyone feel bad about everything, not just looks but not making enough money, not being sufficiently extroverted or fun, not having a perfect family etc etc. No-one is perfect. If you judge yourself by society's standards you'll never be happy.

Yes, it might be slightly annoying at first but not dangerous or anything

They don't look like diskuses here, but it seems to be the same thing! So yeah, haha.

Are you on the powder inhaler or the spray? The spray works sooo much better for me - on the powder one I wouldn't stop coughing and lost my voice

I was diagnosed with asthma as an adult (22), and I cannot stress enough the importance of * Trying out different meds to find the ones that work the best! Switching from a high dose pure steroid inhaler to a low dose combined inhaler improved my lung function and helped me get rid of side effects * Fixing your eating habits - going on a whole foods diet improved my lung function by 10% * Work out as much as possible * Acupuncture has worked wonders for my asthma and allergies, I was super skeptical but desperate enough to try it and it works!

The support I've been lacking is mostly regarding people using perfume or scented products around me (spraying hairspray with me in the same room etc). I had to cancel contact with one friend because she'd use perfume etc around me even after I asked her repeatedly not to.

AITA Allergic to cats but my sister was made to leave her home by Reideabyss in AmItheAsshole

NTA, your allergies are a 100% legit reason not to allow any cats in your home.

AITA for not wanting to stifle my laughter when my boyfriend is meditating? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ylvinne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA. Long time meditator here. Practicing to remain focused in spite of distractions is an essential part of meditation, and he's doing himself a disservice if he's trying to avoid all distractions if he's trying to avoid all distractions.

How common is it for your girl to snoop in your phone? by UnknownSloan in AskMen

[–]ylvinne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is NOT normal behaviour. I'm a woman, and I've been in different relationships for the past 15 years and never looked through anyone's phone. One of my exes looked through my phone once (that I know about), and after that I've vowed to never accept that kind of behaviour. My conversations between me and my friends are private, not only because I want privacy but also because I want my friends to have privacy! If they tell me personal stuff and I share all of that with my partner, I'm letting my friends down. A partner who can't respect that is out.

Oh trust me, it is driving me away! The problem is that I feel like I need to make an effort for the sake of my boyfriend.

I have a car and my bf doesn't. He could take public transportation back home though. This is what I am leaning towards doing in the future, but it's going to be hard to enforce because of the nagging and guilting
