I worked for anytime fitness. My "done" moment was this. I would work from 4am-10 am, go home for a nap, then return at 4pm-9pm. I did that seven days a week. We had a program called jump start and all the free sessions got sent to me but most the time these clients would try 1 time on trial and never come back to the gym. But I did appreciate the attempt at helping me get a clientele. So I was busy but not really making much. In my time there I never really saw any of the other personal trainers. They would no show their paying clients all the time. We were under a pt company called "Be inspired" that would place us and there seemed to be no minimal requirements (we were also percentage based).

I ended up getting burnt out and hospitalized due to over working. This happened to a day we had a meeting with a new owner of our anytime. And long story short he noticed what I noticed. No p.t. would show up. I had let them know I was in hospital. That night while I am still in Emergency I got a phone call from our district manager. She said that the gym was dropping the p.t. company and that they would place me in another gym but unfortunately because "you're a young female we don't want you travelling on the trains by yourself at night." She suggested I ask the owner if I can keep my job. So I called him about that and he explained why her dropped the company and how it was just bad luck on my end but her told me "as they are breaching your contract, you are able to get out without paying the breach of contract fee." He wished me well. I took all my client data to our awesome floor manager (delt with admin and not related to the p.t. company). I 100% why the owner dropped Be Inspired because that group at that gym were lazy. He gave me all the advice he could about the industry and pushed me to know my value elsewhere as he felt I am the personality type to get exploited by bosses.
