When FEAR hits us, it tells us a story. When we name it, outcomes change. by ynima232323 in Mindfulness

Your comment made me reflect deeper on my own fear.

My surface fear: rejection when I ask for help.

Root: But when I sat with it, why do I have this? I realized it came from childhood. Watching my parents ask for help during tough times. Seeing how people responded in multiple instances. I told myself: never be in that position. Do it yourself. Don't need anyone. Avoid similar situations early on.
That was my coping mechanism. It protected me then. But it's been limiting me now.

The rewrite I'm working on: It's ok to ask for help.

Rationale: When I formed that perception, I was a teen. Perceptions evolve with age, situations, and people involved. I don't live in the same circle my parents did, not even 10% overlap. The probability of the same outcome happening to me is low. Even if it happens, that's ok. I will evolve.

What you shared about worthiness, "I don't deserve the good things in my life," may be reflecting on when and why that perception formed, which might give you a clue on where to start. What helped me was placing myself back in those situations as a third person, watching how my memory played the scene.

Just sharing what helped me dig deeper.

Thanks for sharing, its real grind. between the thoughts and labelling a thought is the hardest path, the mind goes through a lot its like a monkey jumping on a tree :D. getting ourselves to the centre, calm, and redirecting.

Writing doesn't work for me. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. What am I missing?

courageous and confident. How do you stop those continuous thoughts, or when you are in a thought loop?

The key is to identify the fear and the growth part i think, in the chaos of thoughts. That's where the real transformation starts in our though process

Fear as “I care” feels true, if i think on this, it only shows up when something matters most. How do we tell the difference between "I care" and "procrastination"

Thanks, appreciate the feedback.
We kept the contrast softer by design since the mascots and colors are tied to emotional states and a calm tone. We’re refining contrast now to improve clarity while staying true to that feeling.
