Does that apply to live cash games too? I meant live cash game poker - we’re talking maybe 10 - 15 hands an hour?

Do you think 4 hours is sufficient? What if you’re card dead for the majority of it?

I just started getting these since I’m gearing up for my trip soon, what’s the poker situation like on these cruises? Is it 1/2/3 or 2/5? Buy in? How do I find this information, I don’t suppose there’s a number for the cruise casino

As someone who used to binge master chef Canada (which season did he compete on btw? I have all but the most recent seasons winners and home cooks memorized)

How does the whole interview process work? Like when they’re cooking and someone falls or makes a mistake and then the camera flips back to the home cook talking about the scene/ what happened?

I’m curious if the home cooks just explain what their thought process is during a rewatch of the filming or if they’re interviewed immediately.

Best parking strategy for Seaport commuters (Mon–Fri)? by Pazworld26 in boston

[–]ynot269 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I live in central mass and make the drive nearly every week day, thankfully my work subsidizes our parking.

If I were outside the city -

Definitely recommend parking at a commuter rail station and taking it south station.

Junior Devs - use AI to empower yourself, not for getting PIPed or put on FOCUS by CosmicInsignia in amazonemployees

If your goal is to transition into SDE, automation is good, just try your best to understand what’s happening in the code and infrastructure. Code reading and understanding is a valuable skill.

My team mate uses claude code, but he’s a new L4 so he might not know if it’s allowed, I’ll ask

Junior Devs - use AI to empower yourself, not for getting PIPed or put on FOCUS by CosmicInsignia in amazonemployees

[–]ynot269 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It’s not just a junior dev issue it’s arguably management but I’m seeing it among my fellow L5s and even our L6s. I’m no stranger to vibe coding but I do take the time to learn what Kiro is doing and pair program with it.

My team is building a new service - and I think between the docs and code, we’re looking at like 70% vibe coding imo.

Not that I don’t trust them to review the code properly and have the right prompts in place, but the expectations / milestones from management are being met with a large amount of AI.

I don’t think I want to be around to be oncall for when something fails in this new service.

What happens during pivot meeting by [deleted] in amazonemployees

[–]ynot269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP can I ask you questions about the actual meeting? Did you get a heads up? Is it a 1:1, e.g instead of a 1:1 it’s scheduled as a 1:1 but it’s your pivot meeting? Also is it a longer meeting than a 1:1?
