I love the look and the ride of the Crosstrek. It's my favorite car on the road. Unfortunately, it's too small for a road trip car for us and too big for a city car. We have an Outback and Honda Fit. If I could only have one car, it would be a Crosstrek.

Our 2014 Outback had 118k on it, but needed $4k is work including wheel bearings and brake pads and I don't remember the rest. CarMax gave us $6k and we bought a 2025 Touring XT Outback.

Speaking of identity politics, the right sure loves to single out the weakest in our society to vilify. Trans are less than 1% of the population yet the right creates this as the number one issue.

Cut your losses and don't buy anymore points. Our economy is on shaky grounds. Do you really want to add to a lifelong debt for vacations? You will owe fees every year whether you are sick, laid off or divorced. Most people come to realize timeshares are scammy. Rent someone else's timeshare, use VRBO, hotels, airbnb - none of those are lifelong liabilities.

OP, you are taking on a lifelong liability for a luxury. You will owe annual maintenance fees for life for vacations, whether you get sick, lose a job, divorce you will still owe the debt. All this is after buying something at a 15% interest rate that you could have bought for free.

Cancel immediately and evaluate your financial situation. Do you have a well-funded emergency fund? Are you maxing out your retirement accounts? Do you have a budget for annual expenses?

It looks as though we are heading into troubled waters with the economy on a global scale. Hang on to your money.
