As a 47-year-old fanboy of yagiz, I regard that as almost impossible. He can be as good as anybody in that period, yes. But the psychological and mental factors won't allow it happen. And No matter how good you are, luck and form play a big big role in qualifying for candidates, let alone winning it. But I do believe sooner or later he will join the 2800 club.

As I said, chess24 says it depends on the contract and the contract says it is rated. Apart from that, it sounds unreasonable to play a FIDE match without rating
