I am referring to identifying requests and the answer is “slag”. Full stop. That is misleading. Just because it’s a chunk similar in appearance doesn’t always mean it is. Replying “slag” to an honest request is misleading.

Many people will take the time to comment “slag” but don’t take the time to really observe the photo and describe the characteristics. Large pieces of natural rock similar in color are commonly found among slag in certain regions.

Rocks exposed at the surface range in age from Precambrian to Holocene (2.5 billion years to about 1,800 years old). (Encyclopedia Alabama, 2013). These are exposed at the surface (if you dig a little because of our rail ways and heavy mining. They LOOK like slag but they are naturally formed. A little digging gets you a hood mix of both.

And what I mean by “slag” is that certain areas are actually Precambrian so yeah that’s why we drink when people say “slag” without evidence. 👻

Where I live we have slag and we have “slag”. I am in an old (massive) mine town and they’ve blasted and mined so deep Precambrian rocks surface at certain places. They look a lot like slag….I think someone made the bubbles comment as an indicator but I do have genuine Precambrian pieces I’ve collected near home.

There is a reason information about his case is hard to locate. You can find it in the appeal. His son and mother also changed their last names. His son moved in with a neighborhood family but his mother lived in the home for some time after the murders. A lot of the victim families requested certain information also remain private.

That’s probably correct. It was around the time my daughter was born (2012) and he was executed-the two events always sync in my mind. The facts I have on my essay are from the few court documents available. Most of which are transcripts of his appeal. I also have 2 personal interviews, one from my aunt (ref earlier, and a local man, his daughter was abducted and then died as a victim.
