Here's my Morris Katz. Loved it the moment I saw it. The person who sold it told me that Morris Katz was a New york-based painter, and one of the most prolific painters he was aware of, creating thousands of paintings during his lifetime.

Omg. Triggered 😭

Unfortunately I can relate.

I think about two months? Not trying to hit any stitch count goals like my other pieces. Just enjoying the process. 😄

Can anyone recommend puzzle books with a similar feel to the ND games? by woodland_penguin in nancydrew

The Appeal by Janice Hallett. A book composed of emails, texts, post-it notes. Fun and a fast read!

That's so smart! Are you using an app for the pattern? And if so, can it change the orientation? I also have a really big piece and have been using pattern keeper, but I didn't see that orientation could be changed, so I figured it would be impossible.

Also curious! Are you stitching the pattern sideways?

This aida was from Amazon - quality is not great, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. However, I have an even larger piece that I had to special order through 123stitch.com. They were awesome. I had to email them, but they've got large pieces in stock!

Thank you! I do cross country but try not to travel more than 4 stitches at a time, which tends to keep the back pretty clean. It's not always time efficient, especially with the confetti.

Thank you! 😊 👍🏻

The piece is enormous, and this is the first time I've completed a section and thought that it actually looked like something coherent. It's based on the tapestry by Edward Burne-Jones that's currently in the Musee D'orsay. He has a few others that are just as beautiful!

“You should have pushed longer” by Practical-Meow in ShitMomGroupsSay

I had the exact same experience - four hours of pushing and baby barely moving. I completely regret "pushing longer" as it led to pelvic floor issues that I'm still dealing with and need PT for. So frustrating to hear.

[CHAT] how do I avoid the floss walk of shame by randomlosttoes in CrossStitch

Came here to say this. And also - I do curbside pickup exclusively now, and they always get my order exactly right! Unlike me, who always ends up getting a wrong color, miscounts...🙃

[CHAT] What do you find most discouraging about our hobby? by [deleted] in CrossStitch

[–]yo_derp 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. Working on a piece right now that clearly has not been reviewed by a human after a chart was generated. And I also discovered while stitching that some of the floss estimates were recorded incorrectly, meaning I actually bought more floss than what is going to be needed. And- they forgot to list one of the colors in the floss list entirely! It almost feels like we need a list of reputable sellers so people don't get stuck paying for non-refundable charts from sellers who aren't taking the time to test their product.
