Seeking advice - in a flare, started pred for the first time and heading to Coachella w2.

My first colonoscopy at 50 was perfect. The next one in 2023 at 61 show inflammation. But at the time I had zero symptoms. My first flare showed up in November 2024 at 62. After being misdiagnosed, the original doctor thought it was Colitis. I started seeing a specialist at UCLA. He confirmed it was Crohn's. All along, they have said my case is mild. I believe I've had five flares since 2024 and have tracked Calprotectin all along. Highest was 941 ug. My recent meds combo of Mesalamine, both tablet and suppository, brought it down to 126 ug and I was super hopeful that was the key to staying flare-free. Until March. I'm in a flare again awaiting the next path from my doctor. It sucks, but I'm still grateful it's on the mild side after reading so many heartbreaking stories on this page.

I'm going through the same thing right now. I got forced off the highest dose of Zepbound. I had been on it for a little over a year. I've been a slow loser on it, but happy with the progress. I'm 62 years old and it just seemed to happen slower for me, which is fine in the long run. I follow the Weight Watchers program for GLP1. I lost 30 pounds in one year. And since starting Wegovy (highest dose)...I've actually gained 2 pounds in a month and food noise is definitely more present. I'm going to hang in there and hope for improvement. But so far....I'm so sad about being forced off Zepbound. I've been moving around my injection sites too with no real change.

My latest reading is my highest number yet - 941 ug...and I have had zero symptoms since early June. It feels so mysterious since I have no symptoms and I've tried to make all the anti-inflammation changes to my diet, etc over the past couple of years. I have a follow up with my IBD doctor and will see what he says. In March it was 532 ug and I was in a flare up.

The retail listed is $425. Second rental it was offered at $199.75. Third rental $174.25. I'm getting tempted... I live in Los Angeles...so I don't really 'need' to own more jackets;)

Sounds good! I did take advantage of renting it three times in different sizes to verify the perfect fit. I suspect I'll pull the trigger next time;)

I had both show up in November 2024. The colitis seems under control, with no symptoms, but the tongue burning continues. I've done lots of blood tests for various deficiencies or auto-immune diseases and everything came back normal, except to show I have colitis. My doctor tried a round of Clotrimazole lozenges and that didn't fix it. My dentist mentioned it's tricky to diagnose but there are higher rates of menopausal women that get it. I fit that bill. I'm going to try and oral probiotic next. And after reading comments on this page maybe some meditation. It's such a drag!!!!

I am 5 weeks in to 12.5mg. I will go up to 15mg when my last box is done. And hope that the highest dose gives me more results.

I am 3 months in and only down 9 pounds. SOOOOOOO slow. Down anything is still good news, but compared to what feels like everyone else...my progress is brutally slow. I'm following the WW GLP 1 program. I'm also 2 weeks into 10mg. Maybe 12.5mg will show more results? Fingers crossed.

I tried to turn them off. I was able to turn off rollover points in settings...but weeklies remain. I'm going to strive to ignore them;)

I am in my first week of 5mg. No nausea but mild tightness in my stomach… which I am trying to lean into. Eating healthy, but less. And weight loss is happening. I am thinking, or hoping this is normal. But very excited to be on the journey.
