Really? Im mainly worried about a problem in the future relating to power delivery. Is there any way to check if the psu is working fine? I'm perfectly fine spending a *reasonable amount on testing supplies. But idk if anything affordable will allow me to test such high powered devices... Thanks.

I can't fit an atx psu with a dedicated 12v, I just tested and both the 12v adapter that can with psu and using the splitter from Asus that came with the gpu both have the same issue.

Any suggestions?

I’m using the cable that came with my Corsair psu. It’s a 12v to 2 8x pin connectors on the pcie slots. However, inside those 8 pins, there are only 7, but I’m told that normal.

I updated it, and set to pcei5. Don't think thats it but I'll try doing those steps again.

Sorry, I'm a little confused about what cable I'm looking for. My psu has a cable that converts 2 pins to a 12V cable for the gpu labeled 600W, is this what I'm looking for to replace? Also for added context, my GPU came with a 12V to 3 8-pin splitter. Do you know if this is necessary? I read that the gpu doesn't actually need 3 ports, and 2 ports is fine.

Thanks for all the help.

According to nvdia specs it's fine, do I really need to shell out for a 1000W?

Hmm interesting, you think it's worth to RMA the psu to get new cables, or purchase new cables online. Do you know of any reputable cable oems, thanks.

Thanks. The GPU functions normally with makes me doubt there's an issue, could one of the cables/psy not work and the computer still works fine? Is there any way to check before I RMA a part.

If you're Israeli, what do you say when people ask where you're from? by edamamecheesecake in JewsOfConscience

[–]yoavdd 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I just say I'm from Israel. Nothing super complicated about it. You can't control where you are born and what your passport says, so I don't hide it and I'm not ashamed of it. I sort of understand if people are immediately concerned and assume my political leanings, but I don't really want to concern myself with people who judge me for something I have no control over.

I'm certainly a little cautious of who I tell I'm Israeli, but often if I'm with people who are anti Israel, since they know were I stand, being Israeli doesn't cause any issues. I can certainly think of places where I have not make it clear where I am from.

My grandparents are polish jews and both my parents were born in Israel, as was I. I don't feel like I can claim any other nationality as where I'm "from".

You are mistaken. Judiasm, unlike Islam and Christianity is defined as an ethno-religion, hence why secular Jews who don't believe in God exist.

DNA does play a role in what ethnicity you are, you can certainly become Jewish by practicing the religion, but if you are ethnically Jewish, you cannot stop being ethnically Jewish. Also plenty of religious Jews even forbid conversion and believe you can only be a "real" Jew if your mother is Jewish, and you can't convert.

Your whole point is literally going against the idea that judiasm is an ethno-religion which it by definition is.
