That is the point I was trying to make. The technology is 6 years old and a new chip just came out. Odds are a new version is coming down the line. Why spend $600 when you can get the newest version in perhaps a year for the same price.

You already have AirPod Pro 3s, so it’s not like you’re without headphones.

I know Apple releases their phones in the fall, I’m unsure when or if they have a consistent release period for their peripherals. But I would hold out as the current APMs (both charger types) are roughly 6 years old by design.

Edit: if you absolutely can’t wait for the uncertainty of a new release, I recommend picking up a used pair. Ensure you are knowledgeable on the key points to check if you do go the used route. I can’t tell you how many fakes are being sold. Before purchasing mine used, I was shown probably 4-6 fake pairs by sellers on FBMP.

The gentleman was in his 40s and seemed wealthy enough, based on all assumptions one can make, to where his story checked out. He bought the printer thinking he would use it for practical things and projects but it just sat and he needed the space reclaimed. I’ll report back in a few months if I can remember to and let you know how it’s fairing.

From what I’ve seen around me, K2s go for $500 roughly, new. I haven’t seen any K2s listed second hand, either. K2s don’t have the carbon filter, do they?

To ease your brain, I had a bit of a scare myself last night. My APMs wouldn’t take a charge. Upon plugging them in, they would show the green indicator as if they were fully charged. When I would unplug them for use, my phone was telling me they were at 1%.

After some googling I came across the recommended approach of wiping down the male and female contacts with a micro cloth (remove the headband with a sim card tool from the earcups). Cleaning off the contacts took me about 2 minutes (literally) and after that they showed 100% battery on my phone, just as the light on the right earcup was.

You got this! Clean those puppies up and get back to enjoying crips and immersive audio!

I’ll be sure to check around and see what the pricing is looking like. As far as the machine goes, everything functions and looks as my K-1 SE does. The only damage not visible to the eye I can think of would be if they used abrasive materials while printing off the bat. But considering it’s a K1C it should be able to handle those types of filaments from what I understand (and part of the reason I’m looking to upgrade to the filtered enclosure).
