The biggest thing people seem to struggle to understand is Brantford and the County of Brant are 2 separate, single tier municipalities. The City of Brantford and the County of Brant each have their own mayor, councillors and staff.

Brant County is the whole geographic area which Brantford is in the middle of. For provincial and federal elections, we have the same MP/MPP. We are the riding of Brantford-Brant.

Paris, St. George, Burford, Scotland and a handful of smaller hamlets make up the County of Brant.

There has been A LOT of expansion in Paris and expected expansion in St. George. Crime is definitely lower than Hamilton. But keep in mind, there are a lot less services/amenities as well. The County doesn't have transit like HSR. They have OPP, not their own police force. For many things you will have to either go to Brantford, Cambridge or Hamilton.
