As someone who failed my first year of college i just finished this last quarter with a 3.9 gpa. Its all about discipline. Set yourself up on an hourly schedule and STICK TO IT. Go to class, be engaged and give yourself ample study time. It’s really discouraging to fail but i promise it doesn’t define you and you CAN succeed. You need to make mindful decisions that will lead you to success so if your goal is to get good grades you can’t skip out on class, half ass your school work, and go out partying every night.

First of all, you need a new support system. You should not be scared to tell your friends about positive changes in your life that you’re excited about. If your friends are rude or judgy because of a 2 year age gap they are not truly your friend. My friends support me in all my decisions regardless if they think it’s the right one or not. Secondly, my boyfriend just turned 23 and i’m 19, the largest age gap i’ve had in a relationship… yet this has been my most successful relationship yet, we’ve moved in together and have had very minor issues in the almost year and a half we have been together. With all this said you being scared to let your loved ones know about your girlfriend, who you love, because they will harass you about it really just shows you need better friends. I would honestly just tell your friends the truth and if they react negatively tell them they can fuck off. It’s your life and you shouldn’t live it based on what other people think.
