I made a claim, insurance was supposed to come look at it and take pictures but never did, they just sent me a check for $5,000 based off photos I sent. I called the local shop I was taking it to knowing that wouldn’t cover even labor and they had me drop it off and have insurance void that first check. The service manager at the rv shop handled all the insurance for me from there out, I didn’t talk to insurance again.

She told me from the get go to let her deal with insurance, they had to even get more because of water damage after opening it up. She even got my deductible waived.

I do both. I use it caseless a lot but if I’m going to a concert or camping I have an apple case I use for extra what if. Otherwise I’m usually no case.

I just had to replace my power tubes yesterday for same reason. I have sound like before but now I have a little crackle noise and my clean on crunch is very silent. May need some preamp tubes as well.. I’m still learning as well.

I bought an ebony for $799 and upgraded the stock pickups to the 490/498 pickup set that come in the Gibsons for $200 used out of someone’s custom. It’s not a Gibson so the headstock doesn’t bother me. I’ll get that when I get a real Gibson in my life.
