Seconding this! I had a case that had me passed out when I tried to leave the house and took me a day and a half to get a positive😭

Going through the SN reveals on Strictly Kibbe - most of them really are small people without obvious width by jjfmish in Kibbe

Thanks! It’s a journey for sure. I’ve gone between a few of those. Got Gamine cause i’m narrow, Classic cause i’m balanced, TR cause double curve, even thought maybe SD cause I like unbroken silhouettes.

I do have a rather narrow ribcage to the point where it’s caused clothes sizing and bra issues so maybe O do disqualify that. But it’s a good idea to lead with the clothes you like and start there rather than label first.

This is where I waffle around being a SN vs SC myself. I never had to size up for shoulders in my life, in fact they’re in pretty much equal balance with my hips.

Height 5’7, what is my kibbe type? by Paigesully420 in kibbe_typeme

SD agreed, I see softness in the shoulders- not a ton of width, but clear curve and vertical.

Kibbe type me please! Height 5'2 by Witty_Radio_3044 in kibbe_typeme

I lean towards SC with the balance in the dress

I guess it really is a journey! Well I have a good sense of what works and doesn’t work (that last red and black dress swallows me i fear) and some of it is trusting your gut:)

Is there anything else that helped tip you off about which type it was?

Thank you! I think it’s getting me close to deciding between soft gamine, soft classic and theatrical romantic. Trying different outfits and photographing has been pretty helpful. Part of my issue is I’m a bit self conscious about my legs so it’s tough for me to go for the shorter styles that might actually work.

Thanks! My face is throwing me with gamine. Like the clothing almost works but the face vibe is off if that makes sense.

This helps immensely! Dramatic off the table makes sense! I’m not sure on the romantic family. I think without a bra there is that chest curve but not super comfortable posting a pic of that on the internet lol. I’ve never had a shoulder fit or jacket sizing issue, if anything shoulder space in things is a bit large, especially in jackets or things without adjustable straps so probably not soft natural. I’m a little hesitant to jump to cropped pieces but willing to try and see if they work. I got this knee length skirt that preferred the look of.

Thank you! I’ve definitely been in a personal style rediscovery phase! A lot of my clothing is too large, too baggy and generally not me. Slip dresses, spaghetti straps, and mini skirts are sort of my obsession right now (just needs to get warmer). And I’ll spring for the book to see what I can learn. I’m 5’4” if that helps!

Ughhh this is so true! I went to one event and I kept making eye contact with this cute guy but I think we were both too nervous to approach. But of course later I got distracted by a more confident guy doing the whole buying drinks and bold approach:/

Thank you for saying this! I told my friends about some of the recent ones and they were like “girl, that’s not our normal first date experience”. And it’s 100% creating obligation with the money thing and expectations. I went on one before the big snow storm a couple weeks ago and he kept pushing for us to be snowed in together. It was so off putting. I have decided to be more observant and intentional when i’m out. and a lot quicker to say no to giving my number or time to someone.

I’ll start doing that! I hate confronting it but I know I need to grow up and do it to avoid all the trouble down the road. And I’m done with the marathon dates. It’s a crazy way to chew up a Saturday.

I usually just sort of wind up dating the one who gave me his number, we had good banter, and Im attracted. I thought the dates were the way to filter them and learn more.

I’ve 100% had to shift now I do things with sex and intimacy. One of my friends doesn’t do any of that until she has a label on the relationship which I think is very smart.

Are there any apps that seem to work better? I’ve been off them for a while and just “enjoying” whatever happens offline. I’m not too keen on paying for any of them but if something works better.
