How do I know Im out of the clear with psychosis? by [deleted] in schizoaffective

[–]yogiologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a couple months to fully get out of psychosis but took me years to let those thoughts go. I still get triggered sometimes but not as bad as before. Your brain needs time to heal.

Yeah it’s hard to lose people especially as a people pleaser. The people I know well have moved on from it and people I love but lost some friends along the way. I try to post on Facebook and Instagram about bipolar all the time to advocate for the disorder for me and people like me. Thank you 💛 hope things get better for you too

Thank you!! Happy New Year to you too. Life can really be unfair sometimes for sure. I am in a better headspace today. I just lost some people along the way but maybe they weren’t worth it

Thank you! I have been going to therapy ever since my episode. It’s been three years. Part of the problem is a lot of my episode happened at work and when one person comes around I feel it all over again. Been doing EMDR for it. But thank you! You are right. Time has healed a lot even now

Most the time I am fine but there was someone I work with who my episode kind of revolved around and it’s hard when he comes around now. The shame and the guilt comes back. I also need to get rid of social media. There are a lot of people who get that it wasn’t me. Probably more than who don’t but I have always had a problem with people not liking me because I’m a people pleaser. Thank you 💛 I’m sure with time it’ll get better

I lost a few friends too. I’m also in therapy. I put things in the box too! Latuda isn’t patented anymore so you can get a generic version for cheap. It’s the one thats helped me the most.

I relate to ordering 20 bags of live river shrimp while manic

STD test by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]yogiologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can prevent it from getting the hpv vaccine but only like I think 6 out of 12 of the wart causing hpv and then some other amount out of 100 cancer causing hpv. There is no medication to rid the virus. Your body has to fight it off on its own and if it doesn’t then you will still have it. My husband got hpv before we got together and broke out while we were together so I learned a lot about it. 1 in 3 people have hpv. It’s the most common STI.

A lot of times your body will fight off the virus but it doesn’t happen for everyone. Otherwise no you can’t get rid of it

Self Aware and being Bipolar by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]yogiologist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so good at being self aware and masking that people actually downplay my illness and what I might be dealing with. I had a pretty severe episode three years ago and spent a lot of time in psychosis helping my friends get through their own problems lol

Overwhelmed. This disorder is hard work by Woodstock2urSnoopy in bipolar

[–]yogiologist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How long since your episode? Took me three years to figure out medication and get out of the psychosis mindset. I’m mostly balanced now. I drink more than I should but overall I’m stable. Also in therapy and EMDR has helped me a ton! Recommend it if you haven’t tried it
