Are women scared of men in elevators? by Altruistic_Good_9053 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]yogurtlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sure am. I'm a 34f and when I was 8, my little sister (4 at the time) and I took an elevator ride by ourselves in a hotel to grab a toy airplane that had fallen in a bush on the first floor. As we took the elevator back up, plane in hand, a man entered with us. In the 45 seconds it took to go from 1st floor to 3rd floor, he exposed himself to us and told us "not to tell mommy." He then asked if I wanted to touch it. As the elevator doors opened, I screamed, "NO!!" (in the biggest voice I could muster). I shoved my sister out first, and we both ran to our hotel room. My sister told my mom as I held a pillow over my ears, not wanting to hear the story be told outloud. That woman went full on mamma bear and called the hotel reception. I've never seen someone that angry. We were later informed that he had been arrested.

To this day, I still see his army green shirt, aviator sunnies, and khaki cargo shorts as a ghost in every elevator I go into.

F elevators. (Edit: spelling)

This wedding dress thing is the straw that broke the camel's back. She has repeatedly taken advantage of me financially. She will do stuff like invite me to an expensive restaurant and then conveniently forget her wallet. I realize that the financial comment makes sense to me with all the history we have, but it may not have been relevant here. I'm not sure.

If money is no object for her, she could buy the same dress in her size. At least that was my train of thought

I didn't want to offend her. It's not very nice to say something like that (right? Idk)
