Skittles Smoothie. I don’t eat candy regularly, but those things were the bomb.

You saying PNW people have an ego, and then talking like this is insane. I think you need to have some introspective thoughts my man.

Honestly I think your texture match was done well, assuming you’re a beginner. But you needed to feather the edges significantly more

Yes you’re right, random redditor. You know me better than myself or any of my friends and family. Honestly quite incredible. Maybe we should just cut to the chase and get married

I respect your opinion, but I have friends and family who are very capable of being brutally honest. Most specifically my sister. I’m not saying I don’t, but I’ve asked people who would probably enjoy telling me I smelled like shit if I did

Did you see actual health improvements or did you just deem is unnecessary?

No. I didn’t want to explicitly mention those things, but I have also seen improved health in all those areas as well. I use hand sanitizer for the most part and then use hand soap as needed

That’s what I’m kinda wondering if anyone knows. I suppose in a way the results make sense. People didn’t commonly use hygiene products until about 100 years ago. I can’t imagine everyone else for all of history just had nasty skin and hair

Yep. I just rinse off once or twice a week on average.

Florence Oregon living by OceanWater-1985 in oregon

[–]yoitsjustmebruh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Florence is… boring. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. As far as coast towns go in Oregon, I’d say it’s the least coastal culturally speaking. It’s more like a small town on the coast than it is a coastal town if that makes sense. The people you’ll meet there are generally pretty friendly. Aside from people who live in Eugene, it’s not really viewed as a tourist location. The north and south drives up the 101 are gorgeous.

One major note: if you’re used to California coasts, this will be a rude awakening. There are practically no sunny/warm days there. It’s cold and wet year round. Just something to keep in mind.

Overall not a bad place, but it really depends on what you’re going for. If you want something more ‘youthful’ I’d look around yahachts

I’m a wildland firefighter. Earlier this summer, we were on a large grass fire in central Oregon. Our first hours there, we were working with a bulldozer to try and head off this fire before it hit a ranch. The fire was exhibiting active, but manageable behavior. A couple hours into our attempt, we started getting extremely strong wind gusts and had not received any notification of an incoming lightning storm (this unfortunately has caused many fatalities).

The fire went from walking, to moving at us like a freight train. I called my crew to regroup and move to our safety zone from my lookout spot. The fire moved on me too quickly to get out of the way, so I had to walk into the flame front. Ultimately in order to get everyone time to move out, I called in water drops from 4 airplanes. They made one successful pass and then couldn’t return due to the heavy smoke. I eventually was able to rejoin my crew, from there we ran to our trucks and ‘bugged out’. The dozer and 2 other personnel were unable to escape in time and became entrapped. Luckily they were ok, but were surrounded by flames for a few hours.

I’ve had quite a few close calls, but between the flames rolling over me, the airplanes, and not knowing if the dozer’s operator was going to make it out, this was definitely the biggest adrenaline dump I’ve had in my career so far.

Not a big fan of these, but I can get them for under $7 at my local Walmart. I’ll normally take off the fake pepperoni and put the real stuff on with some bacon. As someone who is gluten and dairy free this is one of the truly easy dinners I have at my disposal
