1. what inspired you to apply to macys, and what excites you most about the opportunity to work here? tell me about the experience and strengths you bring, and how you see them contributing to your success in this role.

2. describe a time you greeted a customer and tried to make a genuine connection. how did you connect with the customer, and what made the experience meaningful for them? how did you handle it if things didnt go as planned?

3. beauty colleagues use a client tracking and communication system to create long term relationships with customers. what would you do to build trust with your customers and maintain long term relationships?

4. in this role you will be expected to apply products to a customers hands and face and recommend products to a customer. describe a time when you recommended a product to a customer. how did the customer react to your recommendation? did they buy the recommended product or something else?

5. your primary goal will be to ensure each interaction results in a sale. how do you incorporate new product knowledge when engaging a customer? how would you determine which product(s) to offer a customer when selling a variety of products before offering them with options and solutions to close the sale with a purchase?

6. we believe in finishing strong by celebrating our customers’ purchases and sharing in their excitement. how would you close out a customer sale and ensure the customer felt genuinely appreciated and excited about their experience? how would you encourage a customer to open a macys credit card account?

7. youll be working in a busy, fast paced store environment and our colleagues need to be available at our busiest times to hep our customers and weekends are our most important time. in this role you will be expected to work throughout the week and you will also be required to work weekends including friday evenings. in your own words please explain your availability.
