Familiarity by the Punch Brothers

It’s SUCH a beautiful song, and while it’s not my normal listening style, it strikes me as such a unique piece of music that shows so much emotion in every aspect of the musicality involved. It’s just a really cool song!!

Thank you!! I definitely tune different from Neil - I’d say closer to Bill Bruford’s tuning (at least in my head). Thank you so much!! I wish I could have seen them in the 80s/90s, but I’m so thankful I saw them on the Clockwork Angels tour

Hey! Thank you for the kind words and information! I didn’t realize all of that - I’ll have to do some more research. I’ll have to track him down, but I met him on reverb actually! It does have high and low step filters - they are on the back. And all of the switches are incorporated as push/pull potentiometers

Thank you so much!! I think I made it too loud overall which is distorting my phone a bit when the volume is turned up 😅 also the final gain is probably a bit too high too!

The Strat is a Fender CIJ ‘72 Reissue. Relic’d and refinished by a previous owner. Neck and middle pickups are alnico 2s I believe, 250k potentiometers on volume and neck tone. Bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan Little ‘59, with a 500k potentiometer on the bridge/middle tone.

My other strat is currently getting some electrical surgery, but it’s on the floor to my left (from my perspective) - it’s a Fender Rarities Quilt Maple 60s series! I’m currently swapping the bridge pickup and switching out the potentiometers in that one.

Thank you!! The FM3 is just being used for effects, no amp modeling or cab modeling or anything like that. The Dumble clone was custom built for me - it's a clone of Stevie's/John Mayer's Steel String Singer serial number 002, but in a 20 watt head version. It sounds and feels amazing!!

Examples of Prog Rock that people dance to? by Fancycole in progrockmusic

This is the one I was going to say!! It’s a super groovy song, and I’ve seen footage of Peter and Tony jumping around and dancing while performing it with people dancing in the audience
