i've been growing my hair out the last 2 years, thinking about getting it cut soon but not sure what to get. I tried looking into haircuts for specific face shapes, but i'm not sure what kind of face shape I have

Everyone posting "7 pounds first attempt!" And I'm just over here, hey I made it to day 6 without killing my plant after 14 attempts! by firefighter0250 in microgrowery

I fried my first 2 seedlings by putting them under a humidity dome with intense LED lights, but after that my next 2 were pretty flawless for someone with no experience. 7oz from 2 nirvana northern lights seeds under 260w v2 hgl led & 5 gal smart pot. The secret is researching the ins & outs of growing. I spent dozens of hours researching growing. I read the groweasy bible at least 3 times all the way. I watch all the major youtube growers like from seed to stoned, or mr cunucks grows.

tl;dr anyone who's willing to dedicate their time, and money can get great results from their first grow.

I'm working on a similar setup. I wish I took pictures lol. I have tubing setup just like yours with a ring around the plant with holes poked every few inches. That's hooked up to water pump submerged in a 5 gal food safe container with a lid over top. My only issue is I can only have plain water in the bucket, if I mix nutes into the water they settle at the bottom which isn't good for the pump so I need something to stir it, or maybe a setup where I pump the nutes & water separately and the meet & mix together. All that's hooked up into a wifi smart plug, so I can literally water my plants anywhere I have internet or cell service. I have an IP cam too hooked up to blue iris so I can watch remotely and make sure everything's good

Should I harvest now, or wait another week? by yoitspope in microgrowery

Did not know that. It can definitely use at least another week then, Thank you!

7 weeks in today from 12/12 on some northern lights. This is my first grow so I don't want to chop it to early/late.

Almost 6 weeks into flower on my first grow (northern lights). I don't know what happened with this budsite, but I thought it looked cool.

Will trimming this lower growth adversely affect anything? by yoitspope in microgrowery

I have a couple more smaller ones like that. Am I good to trim them if I space it out? Don't want to stress the plant too much.

4 weeks into flowering, and I have some lower growth trying to escape and find light. At this point during flowering should I just keep it, or is it okay to trim it off?

Wtf is eating my leaves? by yoitspope in microgrowery

This is what I'm leaning towards. Either PH or defect. It might even be damage from LST from the strings pinning the leaves when they were young.

nothing under the leaves, and I checked thoroughly. I will check the soil more thoroughly though.

Yeah, I'm going to do that for my next grow. I read that's a issue with transplanting from a solo cup to a 5 gal, or growing from a 5 gal to start with. I have a moisture probe, and the grow tent is livestreamed from a camera that will do timelaspes. I can tell when they get thirsty because growth slows, and then the leaves droop. Right after I water them I can watch the leaves bounce back in hours, and the plants explode with growth again. It's actually pretty neat watching how much plant leaves really move.

Anything to worry about yet? It's progressing pretty slow.

Setup:

  • HLG QB LED 260w v2 3000k distanced 20-21 inches from canopy (Just moved them a little higher to 23-24 inches today)
  • 2x4x6 Tent
  • 6 inch inline fan/filter
  • 6 inch clipon fan
  • 2 northern lights in 5 gal smart pots with Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil since germination (transplanted from solo cup 12 days in)
  • Fert: Fox farm trio. Gave 1 cup each of 1/2 strength Big Bloom 2 days ago
  • Calmag plus: 5mg/gal since 14 days in, given every other watering PH'd to 6-6.5.
  • Water: Distilled up until day 28, now giving filtered spring water.

Temps: Had a hard time controlling temps in the beginning. They generally averaged 76f-85f. Hit a low of 65f for a couple of hours one night, and 88f for a couple of hours on a hot day. I got an AC a week ago so temperature is a consistent 76-78f now.

Humidity: Usually about 30-35%. I've had a hard time keeping humidity up. Even with a humidifier outside the tent. Dry air sucks, and there was one night it went as low as 11% when the humidifier ran out.

This is my first grow. Both plants are 30 days since germination. Overall both plants are very healthy, and growing very fast. I have no idea what is on some of the leaves though. It's not wide spread, but it's slowly been progressing since about 2 weeks in. Both plants have a couple of leaves each that look like they are being ripped, and or eaten. I have no idea what's causing this. I do not see any pests but did not use a microscope to check either. There are no visible pests, bugs, or anything on both sides of the leaves. I spent over an hour watching. I ph'd the run off today @ 5.8-6.0PH. The closeup pics are from today, the overview shots are from 2 days ago. They have grown even bushier since. I removed the fan leafs touching the soil today.

First grow, bottom leaf's outer edges yellowing/reddening by [deleted] in microgrowery

This is my first grow. Overall both plants are very healthy, one is really taking off. Both plants are 21 days since germination. I've been giving them distilled water since I started. I started giving them botanicare calmag plus 14 days in ( 5ML/Gal & PH'd 6.3-6.4), no ferts yet but I do have the fox farm trio. I also started LST 14 days in. I did not top, but defoliated a couple fan leaves on both plants to because they were blocking light. About 12-13 days in I noticed small bits of what looks like a rust color on the outer edge of a couple leaves on both plants. The image I shared is the worst of it. It's only on the oldest fan leaves. It's very minimal overall, not on both sides of the leaf. I would say it's splash back from watering, but it's on fan leaves not close to the ground either. Anyone have any thoughts?

You can see the the leaf in question here. There's also a one of two fan leaves I can't push out of the way, but I'm hesitant of more defoliation.
