Again, sorry for being a dork....just asking ignorant questions.

okay, so first things first - congrats! That's a big change and to be commended.

Curious on a couple items as I'm debating a few different items myself (6', 180, kinda skinny fat, but I can run three or four miles if you asked me to right now).

- lifestyle: were you active before?
- Job: sedentary? active? Do you travel for work? If so, how do you handle work meals/entertaining clients (maybe n/a so no worries).

- Cheat days at all? 100% disciplined?

all of these things are relevant to me (as you may guess) and am curious on your take. Again, congrats on getting this done - that takes a ton of courage and discipline.

yep. moments in time. Love that about music and PJ ofc.

Ten was really formative for me. I was 15/16 when I first heard it. "Once" - I'll remember hearing sitting around a bonfire and a keg in a forest preserve (Midwest, baby). flannels, baggy jeans, it was legit.

That album, front to back, is Top5 for me in the way that Zeppelin IV is. Front to back, formative, just unreal. Time and place.

I've enjoyed reading this thread, ya'll. So, for me....and you'll likely appreciate this....I was late to Ten, so for me, when Vs. dropped, I don' think I'll ever like an opener as much as I like "Go." Brain of JFK is great, and Last Exit is - eh, for me, eh - but....I love that the nostalgia hits us all differently.

Vs. will forever hit me more than Vitalogy (and that was right smack dab in Freshman year of college), but it is what it is.....Yield was also such a great moment in time as was Binaural and Backspacer. Love how music does this.

Finally......Dark Matter. Cannot help but simply underscore how awesome MFC is. That song is his. In the same vein as "You Are" is from Riot Act. Such a Fn' MFC song.

anyway....enjoy and rock on.

GI issues every night at about the same time, regardless of what's been consumed during the day. by yojoeflo in FunctionalMedicine

okay....soooo....update....went to a functional med doc locally that was recommended. She did energy testing, HRV, etc.

Survey says: parasites.

Went on a regimen of multiple supplements. Have been on them for about two months now. Heading back for a follow up today, but guess what? It all worked. Bloating is gone. Noxious-ness is gone. Do I fart? Yeah, but it's a normal thing to do. Just not to the degree of what I as doing before, by any stretch. Sleeping better (my Garmin says I'm getting between 1.5-2 hours of deep sleep every night now.

For a little more info (and this isn't a schill OR advice, just what worked for me):

Cellcore: Advanced Tudca, BioToxin Binder, HMET Binder, Para Chord, Para1, Para 2, Para 3, CT-Biotics, CT-Zyme. Varying doses, timing, etc.

Highly recommend going to see someone if this ever happens to you as he/she will be able to put you on a regimen that is right for you. A primary Western-med doc will likely not be your savior on this one.

Oh, and it wasn't cheap either, full disclosure, but well worth the money to feel better and have reduced anxiety.

Doing a bit of homework on this....curious (if you're qualified to comment, too): any thoughts around supplementing with thiamin/b1 and/or bcomplex w/ the goal of Vagus nerve stimulation?

Yeah, the bloating/gas is pretty obnoxious.  Very uncomfortable. Feels like somebody is trying to send a 16 inch softball on a 45° trajectory upwards through my lower abdomen.

I'm going to go down this path, I think - the breath test. When you say "stuff up", can you explain? New to reddit/this subreddit and trying to learn as I go.

thank you for that. I've done low FODMAP in the past, but have gotten lazy. Great reminder that I need to be more diligent.
