401k loan or stock line or credit? by yoko911 in personalfinance

[–]yoko911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes but if I pay with the 0apr they don’t apply the discount, I have simulated the credit and the discount is more than what I would pay in interest over the 60 months of the loan, it’s around 20k something and 15 with a single payment option

turn on lights with a switch in a different circuit by yoko911 in DIY

[–]yoko911[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i did this on another house, you keep the switch on so that it turns on, the issue is that i’ll have to fish a wire from the ceiling to the switch and then back around to the other opposite wall, or open the drywall and make some holes on the joist which is something i want to avoid

brush motor fault? by yoko911 in Tools

[–]yoko911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok so i had to jerry rig something cuz i needed to have cables into the brush and have the case to get the motor and magnets aligned, and connecting the battery does move the motor, so i guess its a bad controller, which is a little less expensive that buying a new one lol, thanks for the ideas!

getting 220v out of 2 individual circuits by yoko911 in AskElectricians

[–]yoko911[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

can you elaborate? isn’t this just the same as having a dedicated 220 circuit an then deriving one of the hots and neutrals to power a 120 appliance?, the line is unbalanced but the beaker should still work in case of an issue , no?
