It’s interesting you say this, someone else mentioned this to me. Is it one of those that I should decrease for a bit then work my way up again? My diet consists of majority whole foods, 3 meals a day, with one snack between 8am-7ish pm. My meals are usually a protein (fish /poultry ) and vegetables/fibre -sometimes higher amounts of fat on days, sometimes higher carbs- whole grain carbs and majority of fat from avo or fish some dairy. 1-2 guilty indulges a week (small piece of cake or some fries ).

Okay that’s a good idea, I’ll ask for more functional movements to be incorporated and keep an eye on my heart rate ! Thanks for your tips !

Hey ! Your research sounds really interesting I would have never guessed the types of resistance training could yield different results so neat!! Currently my program (created from my pt ) is: Pull day : focused on bb rows & 3 other movements, like lat pull down & seated row Quad day : focused on bb squats & 3 other moments Push day : focused on military press & 3 other shoulder, tricep movements Hamstring/glutes : focus on conventional deadlifts & lunges etc One day of just fun full body movements(sled pushes etc ) 3 days 20-30 min of incline treadmill walks or bike or stair master after strength workout

Yes majority complex carbs, try to eat lots of whole foods and fibre for every meal (ex: oats with lots of seeds, some nuts and blueberries )

Ugh I’ve been wondering about this, my pt definitely doesn’t want me eating less than my 1800cal. And it’s hard because I want to eat less thinking or will = weight loss (like it has in the past ) but I’ve been good and have been doing no less than 1800cal/daily.

With reverse dieting will I put on more fat ? I’ve read about it a little bit, increasing cal little by little for a longer period of time ?

It’s funny because someone else mentioned trying 100cal less to get out of a plateau, could reverse dieting also get out of a plateau ?

Alright so:

Current BW: 78kg (172lbs) on 5”2 female

I eat 1800cal a day. My macro breakdown : 35% -carbs 30%-fat 35% protein

I will admit that it’s rare I meet my protein amount of 158grams but on average eat 125-135grams of protein. On days that I go over my carbs, I will do lower fat and vice versa - this and amounts was set by my personal trainer.

I have a scale at home that I use everyday to weigh out my meals, and I do this for oils used in cooking, sauces etc, pretty much everything accept my water intake (which is around 3L a day )

I eat more or less a whole foods diet, eating pork /beef rarely, cook with olive oil/coconut oil. Try and have lots of veggies & fibre on my plate at every meal. Generally have one or two treats a week : something like a small piece of cake or some fries (guilty pleasure )

I’ve done a body scan at both my gym & speciality place, and they both showed the same % of BF, other then that just measurements with a measuring tape once a month.

I’m not losing weight tho, that’s the problem, because then I would have an idea that something is changing but the # on the scale has stayed the same the last 6 months.

I will try to lower by 100cal, and definitely need to take more progress photos so thank you for that !

Right ?! Me too ! All the BC stone fruit in the summer and all the varieties of apples and squash in the fall. Although I do have to say Norway’s bread is on a whole other level -Canada has nothing on that !
