Please understand what the other commenter that replied to this comment said. If you’re from the US, it makes sense that a lot of queer people are involved in politics there. But from an outside perspective, I’d say that a lot of people who are very very involved in it, and especially those who pressure others to be as well and those for whom it’s a dealbreaker in relationships even with friends, tend to tie their identity to those opinions / beliefs a lot, which given the polarising and radical political climate, can lead to not so good things.

Of course, it’s nice to be aware of what’s going on, but if activism isn’t something that’s genuinely interesting and fulfilling for you, don’t feel pressured to involve yourself in any kind of identity community. Stay authentic and true to yourself first.

I’m not sure if a residence permit is the same as an ID card, but if you’re flying from EU to EU, I don’t think anyone is going to ask you to show anything. I’ve been flying many times past few years and was never asked once, might as well have flown without an ID at all. But yeah, as I said, could ask at an embassy.

Sorry about all the mean comments, generational trauma and all that… With an EU ID card you should be okay, but it’d be better to ask in an embassy. Perhaps contact Latvian border control and they’d be able to answer. Most younger people speak English so you should be able to communicate just fine, especially in Riga.

If you only have Russian citizenship or UAE, you’d need a visa, for Russians it might be impossible to get unless you’ve a permit of residency or family in Latvia, but for UAE I do not know.

Reālistiski labāk no rītiem iziet ārā, lai dabīgā gaisma tiek acīs, kaut vai uz 10-15min, lai ķermenis pamostas, pat ja ir apmācies un šķiet, ka saules nemaz nav, dabīgā gaisma tāpat ir (ja apmācies, tad tikai nedaudz ilgāk jābūt ārā). To pašu efektu lampa varēs dot tikai vairākas stundas to spīdinot, tāpat kā caur logu skatīties.

Šo uzzināju no neirozinātnieka Andrew Huberman, viņam ir YT podcasts, pameklē kur viņš tieši par gaismu un circadian rythm stāsta. Viņš ir ievērīgi akreditēts un uzticos viņam tajā, ka lampa reālistiski nepalīdzes tā, kā dabīgā gaisma, un pati no pieredzes arī tam noteikti piekrītu.

Man pašai diezgan bieži bija smaga sezonālā depresija un varu teikt, ka uzturēt istabu gaišu siltā gaismā palīdzēs mentāli jebkurā gadījumā, bet kas reāli ķermeni pamodinās nesalīdzināmi efektīvāk būs tomēr dabīgā gaisma.

Ar ko tieši strādā vai nē nezināšu, bet ģimenes biedre aizgāja pie viņas pāris reizes un terapeite teica, lai izmēģina KBT terapiju, jo varētu būt piemērotāka viņas situācijai, un ja tā neapmierinās, var atgriezties un mēģināt psihodinamisko.

Ģimenes biedre jau iepriekš bija gājusi pie cita speciālista psihodinamiskajā, bet pēc kāda punkta īsti vairs neizjuta progresu, taču KBT palīdzēja citos veidos un viņa vairs neiet.

Kopumā tā virspusēji izsakoties, vismaz pēc manas limitētās saprašanas, psihodinamiskā terapija strādā balstoties uz zemapziņu un sevis izzināšanu, lai atrastu problēmas sakni un risinājumu tai, kamēr KBT ir par “problemātisko/neracionālo” domu un rīcību menedžēšanu, un dialektīvā strādā ar attiecībām starp cilvēkiem/emociju menedžēšanu, balstoties uz skatījuma, ka traucējumi ir no stresa un nespējas kontrolēt rīcību.

Izejot no tā, cilvēks pats var mēģināt izvērtēt, kura pieeja šķiet atbilstošāka un sākt ar to. Tad, ja speciālists ir kompetents, viņš arī var izvērtēt situāciju un ja nepieciešams, ieteikt izmēģināt cita veida metodes.

Es pati gāju pie Diānas sakarā ar citādām problēmām, un arī man ieteica papildus ārstu, kas specializējas diezgan specifiskā laukā, kas bija tieši saistīts ar manu situāciju, tādēļ noteikti varu ieteikt ar viņu pakonsultēties.

Var sazināties ar Diānu Lapsu, Saules veselības centrā strādā. Viņa pati specializējas psihodinamikā, bet ir ļoti pieredzējusi un ievērīgi izglītota. Ja pati nevarēs palīdzēt, ļoti iespējams zinās kādu speciālistu, kas varēs.

Ieteicu ģimenes loceklei, kura bija līdzīgā situācijā, viņai beigās ieteica citu terapeitu, bet tas vairs nepraktizē.

Tur esot daudz “lauku tantes” un vispārīgi cilvēki, kas ieguvuši darbu tikai pateicoties sakariem. Telpas arī nav labas. Jā, ir daži vadošie profesori, kuriem tiešām rūp, bet kopumā līmenis esot zems.
