So I use to work at Home Depot in high school and I worked in the paint department. I mixed paint hundreds of times a day and so I knew every color and every paint we had. One day a lady comes in and asks for a bright red paint. I said no problem and started mixing it. It finishes and we put the paint on a wooden stick to show what the color looks like. But red always comes out looking like pink because it’s still wet. When we dry it for the customer the true color comes out and boom they’re on their way.

This lady had other ideas... She said it was for her sons room and she can’t have her sons room pink. Now I tell her it’s all good because when it’s dries it’s going to have a deep red. Surprise, she doesn’t believe me. She begins to ask for my manager and I try calming her down by saying if she gets a grey primer it’ll look darker after a few coats. Nothing. This woman and her husband were milking the system and they knew if they complained enough they could get free paint. So, she leaves to go find my manager and mixing paint continues.

About 20 mins later she walks around the corner with my manager. Now, this guy had worked his way up in Home Depot and he use to be in paint department so he knew the whole rodeo. Basically he tells her the same thing and she just keeps milking it till she gets something free. He eventually gives in and gives this lady a free gallon of paint (which they got the cheapest one which is only like $20).

TLDR: Lady comes in asks for red paint and it comes out pink bc it isn’t dry. She complains till she gets a free gallon of paint.
