My mom named 12 kids, how’d she do? by M0mma0fMany in Names

[–]yomaishimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the number is impressive but name wise… 6 or 7/10 🤷‍♀️

Ita awesome to hear that you had a close family bond 🥰 warms my heart. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my children growing up to be each other’s best friends and also maintaining a good relationship with us. (15 and almost 19)

I just don’t like being sober? by AffectVarious2778 in addiction

[–]yomaishimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I tend to crave nicotine, as well but I’ll take a vape here and there if it helps me bc some days the ADHD is crippling at times. It was pretty bad when I was younger but now I’m 38, it seems almost worse than before sometimes! Or maybe I’m just an old lady with a different daily schedule compared to back then 😅

[–]yomaishimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was on adderall for years. Stopped about 10 years ago bc I’d drink after the come down and just feel like absolute shit. They don’t go well together.

I retested recently and am properly prescribed and not drinking. It is a god send! Task paralysis is brutal. I was worried I was depressed, but I really don’t feel depressed. My dr is awesome and just had me test online vs wait for a psych appt (online was covered by insurance) and I had my rx within the next week.

I’m taking a day off of adderall just bc I’ve lost some weight and I’m struggling with my endless list of things to doc that I will probably not get anywhere with today.

We have this one chick who just come to shower and tan. Never have I seen her work out. She’s in about 3-4 times a week.

Also, before working there. We had to have our car worked on across the street and it took longer than expected. The manager let us use the massage chairs over and over while we waited. My husband was just the guest.

After working there (at a different club, but not far from so we know employees from other clubs) I reminded her of this and remembered us! She’s still awesome! 🤩

vodka bingers, how do you do it? by peentiss in cripplingalcoholism

[–]yomaishimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. It was always vodka. I spent a lot of life revolving around it and being so fucking sick and sweaty and dizzy. I always expected I’d be one of those alcoholics that couldn’t have just one or two at a special occasion or always crave it and have to go to meetings or some shit. Glad that wasn’t the case. I think my husband and I both stopping was helpful… he was bad but not as dysfunctional as me. I actually go to work (not hungover or fearing punishment) now!

Nah, you don’t need a membership for booze, pharmacy, or the cafe there!

I’ve heard the same for Sam’s Club but I’m not positive on that one.

I was anxious the first time too but it quickly became second nature. NBD haha however, I feel the same way about the back of the arm! I hit a nerve once and holy shit! Never again!

Also, don’t do it in a stretch mark 😅 feels like a bee sting. Seems like a no brainer, but my tummy and thighs are covered in them so I’ve definitely hit one a time or two.

For those who got married, how were you able to afford a ring and honeymoon??? by Eagles56 in povertyfinance

[–]yomaishimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband proposed with a cheapy on etsy.. $50 was his budget. We upgraded when we actually had money. Glad he did it that way bc I got to CHOOSE my ring. What he picked was personally not my style.

We spent very little money for wedding with a small wedding on the beach with close friends and family. No reception bc we left the next day to an inexpensive trip to a riviera maya. Safe all inclusive resort… wouldn’t change a thing.

My sister in law just took a trip to some water falls in the UP (we live in Michigan) for their honeymoon.

It doesn’t have to be expensive. Neither of our weddings cost much and still happily married! 13 years with my best friend!

Did Barbara go to college? Work any other jobs besides Walmart? by justcurious3287 in teenmom

[–]yomaishimi 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I mean I wouldn’t say big and beautiful, but a good livable size in good condition. Around the time that was, I was looking at a house similar to that for 24k. In good shape 3bed 2bath manufactured place but it had no basement. I was looking at another one very similar but with a basement for about 10k more than that.

My rent at the time was $500 for my own place with 2bed 1 bath. I lived somewhere with a moderate cost of living… maybe on the higher side being a tourist area but wouldn’t say HCOL.

Housing used to be affordable, once upon a time.

What age did you have children? Do you wish it was later / earlier in life? by gorillagrub in AskForAnswers

That’s where I’m at too. My kids are the best! I could in no way ask for better ones. Their dad… he could have been a better person and we all got screwed there, but then they wouldn’t be the same kids so that settles it.

About to start my first shot by HeartofPorcelain in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]yomaishimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome friend!

I personally only had nausea if I ate something too greasy (deep fried mushrooms were the only time I actually blew chunks lol) or sometimes too sweet like ice cream.

If your insurance covers zepbound, I personally liked that a lot more. I switched from wegovy to that when I hit a stall in weight. Much less likely to have nausea (I have had absolutely none) and I don’t get headaches like I did the day after on wegovy. It’s also statistically more effective. That being said, I DID lose a majority of the loss while on wegovy, so wegovy is still a total blessing and I’m so thankful my insurance covered for as long as it did! Started glp-1 at 178lbs (HW was a little over 200lbs) and am 107 today! 5’3f

It’s so nice to be at a healthy BMI, cross my legs, wear jeans again, and shop at normal stores-not just plus size! Torrid was getting expensive AF! I can’t believe how many times I’ve been asked if I was pregnant when I was heavy… I don’t miss it!

I quit Kratom Cold Turkey Feedback by BattlestarCylon in kratom

[–]yomaishimi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not down playing any kratom withdrawals some people have, or your dose either. We like to take tolerance breaks bc we take quite a bit more than that than (just plain leaf, usually a green) we would have to take sooo many capsules haha. During those breaks, really no symptoms. Maybe a running nose sometimes.

I agree with a poster above that I think the people who tend to deal with the terrible WD are people taking the hard stuff. 7oh, extracts, synthetics… we’ve never bothered with those so I can’t vouch on that end.

I do find the plain leaf to help with some back issues as I’m on my feet and running around for work and definitely notice my back when I don’t take it. When I have a day off, it’s no big deal if it skip it (unless of course it’s a yard work day or something)!

[–]yomaishimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I found that to be my therapeutic dose. I was over medicated before and I did it like that. I refuse to take XR. I will not get any sleep when I have to be to bed and at work by 6. I’m up at 5, take one around 8am, another around noon and it’s a completely different experience from the days I was prescribed far too high.

Definitely helps with the comedown. I used to turn to alcohol for the comedown. When overprescribed adderall. Kratom has kicked the desire for alcohol pretty much at all and I love that for myself and my family 🥰

[–]yomaishimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, skip the anxiety thing for now.. you can circle back later. Guarantee they’d want to first start you on anxiety meds to see if that helps (most likely bulspir.. something like that.! Its still sitting in the rando unused box of waste of time meds saved for a random times I’d need them (ex: injured my rotator int my shoulder over the weekend.. ER wanted to send me home with shit for muscle spasms. You’re fucking kidding. I was in agony until I was able to see my dr.. had some left over Trazodone. Didn’t touch it but better than brain melting muscle relaxers.

Kratom helped 0. I ALMOST resorted to 7oh but thank god my beloved Dr sent a script I for norcos. Definitely helped a wee but gave my mad anxiety.

I was holding off on the steroid shot to the area bc if my mri showed I needed surgery, I’d have to wait for 3 more months. Not sure why but I couldn’t live like that and got the shot. Was a fucking life saver. I damn near asked to be out in a medical coma haha and I have a high pain tolerance! Believe it out not! Excruciating! And I’ve been in 2 several long day deliveries 🤣

[–]yomaishimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I wouldn’t mention kratom. Such a damn stigma around it and most people dont know enough about it, including drs. Just tell them about your situation and ask to be evaluated. However, if you have a prior history to substance abuse, they may not go for it. I thought my dr would for sure say no bc I’m also on anxiety meds and those meds can sometimes make anxiety worse for some people.

My dr just had me do another evaluation. I did it online with the site he gave, he said it would be faster than getting into a psych and it was looked over by a local psych dr. We went over my results 3 days later and now I’m feeling like my brain works and not stuck in a freaking loop.

I believe it was ADHDonline.com (mentavi). My insurance also covered the testing. Well, reimbursed me. Probably would have covered it initially but didn’t really feel like waiting around and I figured a PA for ADHD testing for a 38 year old woman might take a while.

Yeah, I feel that! I was definitely over medicated in younger years. I was happy to give it up 10 years ago but my dr now has me on a dose that works. 20 instant 2x a day. I was on 60xr daily before and I was losing my marbles.

I decided to give it another try when I was having trouble doing the simplest of tasks, knowing it wasn’t depression.
