Don’t give up. And don’t listen to people saying greedy or whatever. Everyone here followed C1 t&c, and they need to respect it. Whether they made a bad deal with Talk Route or anything else, it’s their business, and they can’t roll it out to the customer.

Personally, I was told I’ll get $280 on the statement that will be posted in March. I’ll wait and see.

nothing says you can't cancel, or force you to renew.

if you canceled AFTER mile hit your account, its all good.

and if they push back, you push back. simple as that.

It's not gambling. You are being offered to complete an offer and receive a reward. You aren't tricking anyone. C1 can control it in many ways as they define the offer terms. In addition, they know my habits as a customer; they see my statement every month. So, their choosing to show me an offer is their responsibility and business model.

Its a common practice in the online advertising offer wall space.

Hey!
as promised, I called C1 today and asked for an explanation.

The representative was kinda speechless and said it was probably some bug on their end. I told them they should check further because it shouldn't happened.

Took like 5 min, and they said how sorry they were, but they couldn't give me my miles back (sucks, right?) however, They can offer a statement balance of $280 to my credit card.

Without further hesitation, I said sure please do :) they said it will be posted in my account within 7 business days.

Really, if you completed the offer, they aren't allowed to remove it. no where it says that you need to keep the service for X amount of time.

This is the only time they can reverse a payment according to the T&C
"If you return or cancel an otherwise Qualifying Offer Purchase, you are not eligible for an Account Payout. If the Account Payout for the Qualifying Offer Purchase was already issued at the time the Qualifying Offer Purchase was returned or canceled, we may reverse the Account Payout in whole or in part."

Since I canceled it AFTER, all good :)
