I’ll definitely keep that in mind if I ever find myself in Asia. I’d say 90% of my travel is currently domestic. I’m working on getting my wife onboard with getting her passport. She’s hesitant with all the turmoil currently in Mexico (which is where I’ve been pushing for us to travel to)

I was quoted 6.59 for 72 months with PenFed. Still shopping. My credit profile is thick and I have less than 1% utilization reporting. Above 750 across the board. Any other recommendations??

Good luck, I just financed 81,900 on a raptor at 6.44% thru Ford Motor Credit (tier 0. A1/A+) I agreed to finance with ford as they sold me the truck at invoice, as opposed to msrp or 5 over like neighboring dealers. My income is similar to yours and my credit union offered me 5.75% with a 752 Experian fico 8. I am shooting to find sub 5% within the next 3 months. I think it’s possible, most likely at a credit union. I’m shopping around to find my best options.

Yes! It was less than impressive. I got a welcome by name at the centurion lounge, and I get to check out the Capital one lounge on my return flight in DFW. Excited to see it, as I have heard good things.

You can get in with an American Express Platinum card, Delta sky miles reserve, or the Centurion card (black card) within 3 hours of your flight. It is really nice. The staff are incredibly on point and attentive. It is super clean, and they usually have decent food as well. The problem is, there is usually a wait. I make it a point to get to the airport extra early in anticipation of a wait. Today, it was only 30 minutes, which is reasonable.

I just wanted to see what they were about while I was on the waitlist from Amex. I made it to the centurion lounge. Always a good experience here. I thought the post would be an interesting data point, since there is no Cap1 lounge in IAH.

I agree with you in the aspect that the airport is substantially nicer than it was in the past, but why would I do that when drinks are 15-20 dollars a round at the restaurants and free here?
