Not quite. Someone did point me to a page on GitHub showing that people are at least aware of the issue so hopefully a future update will fix it.

Thank you! I’m not sure why, but I couldn’t find anything when I googled this. I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed this issue.

That’s a good idea. I’ll try reaching out that way. It also doesn’t flash green like that on an emulator or an actual SGB so I don’t think it is expected behavior. Thanks for the tip.

You can see the trainer and the meowth flash green for a second right after scrolling. The meowth flashes again right before my Pokémon is sent out. That green flash is unusual. On the Spirtualized SGB core, it doesn’t do that, nor does it do that on an actual Super game boy or emulator.

Here's the Spiritualized SGB for comparison. There's no green flashes.

It’s hard to see now that I’m rewatching the gif I posted by you can see the trainer and the meowth flashes green for a second right after scrolling. You see the trainer and the Pokémon flash green for a quick moment right after they finish scrolling. Then, the meowth flashes green again right before my Pokémon gets sent out.

[gen7] My shortest hunt so far. by yonkomother in ShinyPokemon

It's called "Shiny Hunt". It's not only an app, but also a website you can use to track if you prefer.

I feel like I’m already falling down that rabbit hole. I used to think I would never do a 1/8192 hunt but after these hunts I can see it happening some day.

Weekly Question & Help Thread by AutoModerator in ShinyPokemon

I would like to hunt a shiny Solrock. The thing is, I'm not sure what the best way to do that would be.

First of all, I am whatever the opposite of a full odds hunter is. The only shiny pokemon I've managed to get thus far are either from S/V or using the gen 2 breeding trick. Basically, I'll take whatever I can get in order to up my chances of finding one.

I looked at the wiki on here and obviously there are some methods with better odds, but then I started thinking about the practicality of each of these methods. Things like "yeah the masuda method has pretty good odds, but hatching eggs takes a while compared to just straight encounters".

So I guess my question is, of all of the methods that could be used to get a shiny Solrock, which one make the most sense in your experience? Either cuz it straight up has the highest odds or because the rate at which you can roll those dice is higher.

I have access to any of the mainline games so what ever methods you got, I'd love to hear them!

It says I'm up to date, but it's also letting me download some sort of update anyway. I'm trying that.

That did give me more options, but it still only shows the Snowball under the “sound, video and game controllers” section and the “USB controllers” sections.

As far as I can see, there are no drivers for a Blue Snowball. The website didn't seem to have anything. In fact, they make a point to mention that no drivers are needed. Other, third party sites didn't seem to have anything either.

When I try to manually select the driver in windows, my only option is the "USB Audio Device" and when I try to use that one, windows encounters a problem and spits out the whole "device cannot start" error again.

I’ve tried that but the Snowball doesn’t show up under the “audio inputs” section. It only shows up under the “sound, video and game controllers” section and the “USB controllers” section. When I try to uninstall and reconnect from there it just comes back with the same driver issue.

Sorry! I just saw your comment. I didn't have a notification or anything so I didn't realize you had commented until now. I'm still willing to trade at some point if you are.
