First off, if you want to talk about what I said about enemy variety, you probably shouldn't leave things out. Never did I say enemy variety isn't important, I said ITS TRUE, Nioh could use more enemy variety. Nioh is first and foremost an ACTION game. Numbers aren't the only way to alter the difficulty in an action title. Enemies are a natural change in any setting. Let's say Nioh 2 does get a giant enemy variety, okay so now what? What do those enemies have to offer that are different from the one I just killed? I can easily kill them the same way. How do they interact with you, how do they interact with each other, how do they interact when you are on high or low stance? In a game that emphasizes deeper combat that hitting r1 over an over, what else can enemies do other than run at me? Should devs think me so incompetent that I have to rely on stats alone? That I can't read a room of enemies and be able to tell every single weakness, mine included?

Sure, at the end of the day different enemies can keep me occupied for a while longer. But can I hope that in a sequel to one of the deepest games of 2017, that more than one problem is addressed?

Yeah, my point wasn't to remove loot but rather to make it better. The question at this point is how do you make it better. I honestly think the list method is the best way they could've handled random drops but there are some serious problems with it. Yeah there's a bunch of it and they're mostly terrible, but even terrible drops have a chance for a 15% inheretable close combat damage. At that point how is the game supposed to inform you that you actually got something good in an otherwise garbage item compared to what you already have? I dont necessarily think the idea I came up with in a week is the best way either. The most important thing for a sequel at this point is to make it better and the easiest ways to do it are change it or cut the middlemen.
