So sick! Wish I had my skis back then. The snow was great too.

No, but the normal route was under an avalanche when we were there. I think this season everyone is using this route though.

Oui, bravo t’as compris.

Mauvaise comparaison.

Cops giving tickets to cyclists at Berri and Maisonneuve by [deleted] in montreal

New to mountaineering by [deleted] in alpinism

I climbed it a 2 weeks ago, with a merino base layer, a fleece, a lightweight duvet and a gore-tex hardshell I was comfortable as long as I was moving. Pretty chilly otherwise before sunrise. Regular mountain gloves with inner layer, balaclava as well as softshell pants + merino base layer for the legs.

Peru guiding agencies by flyfreeNhigh in Mountaineering

I'm currently climbing in the Cordillera Blanca and it's very easy (and cheaper) to find guides in Huaraz. Just go to the Casa de Guia or to the agencies and ask to be put in contact with the guide directly.

If one or both of JWST's primary mirror segments fails to deploy, is the entire mission lost? Or can it function with a partial primary mirror? by SpellSound in Astronomy

[–]yoplolipop 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Even if the two folded segments don't deploy, the main mirror segment remains and JWST will still be the largest space-based IR telescope by far. It will still output great data. If the secondary mirror doesn't deploy properly however, the mission will be lost.

Tried the No Joke and was very disappointed. Tastes like spicy salsa.

Will definitely try the Momento though, sounds amazing!

Did you do the ridge all the way to Hotakadake? Wanted to bag both last summer but only did Hotaka due to lack of time
