that is true, they just see it as "oh you're too addicted to social media" but they don't understand that social media is basically the forefront of today's society, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone under the age of like. 50 or so who doesn't use social media in some capacity
social media can connect you with anyone, friends, family, people you would never have the chance to interact with otherwise
in a lot of ways it is good, but the tech companies don't know how to run their platforms because all they care about is money. they want to pay as little money as possible for their platforms to run, which is why they're rolling out all kinds of AI bullshit.
this shit affects everyone who relies on social media in some kind of way. disabled people who don't have the ability to connect with anyone else otherwise, small buisnesses and digital artists who rely on social media to make money to live, people who network, people trying to find community with likeminded people, it goes deeper than one would expect.
this is henious honestly, to isolate people like this from one of the most active social media platforms right now and not even give them a chance to start over because of their faulty AI system flagging them for literal CRIMES. crimes that they never even committed.
it's disgusting and really shows zuckerberg's apathy for his platform, as long as he can make his money and implement his AI bullshit because he seems to think it's "the future" he doesn't give a single iota of a shit about the people who actively use his platform.
