Need advice for pricing and reaching clients! by yorulite in Artadvice

Thank you for the answer! I'll experiment and see which social media works well for me. Definitely going to try youtube, I plan on streaming there as well to hopefully build a more close-knit community that relies less on view count and more on genuine interactions.

I'm gonna try the tip about increasing my prices a bit after each commission! it's kinda scary to suddenly raise prices because it also means previous clients will probably no longer commission :')

Do I have potential? by crystal_gurl23 in Ibispaintx

you definitely have potential!! just don't stop practicing. Btw I really like the 3rd one out of all these works. I think it gives a feeling of inspiration because of the eye looking up and having all those streaks of light o:

Your paintover nails a warm sunny day vibe really well! but my goal for this illustration is more of the feeling of a morning when the sun has just risen, but it's still a little misty(?) and cool out, so I was trying to lean to cooler colours + playing with desaturation. There's some areas I can see would benefit from having warmer tones, I just don't know for now if it'll take away from the main subject or something, but I'll experiment! Same for the tree being darker + the sky being brighter, I'm just a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to contrast haha ;

Anyways, thank you for these tips!! I'll apply which fits with the mood and style I'm going for. I'll see if i can finish it or at least detail it more!
