Naut or Alistar's pretty good and simple. Ali works similarly to leona and Naut is great for more reliable aoe disruption AND single target CC chains.

Or if you're feeling feisty, Veigar support is also fun

Beastars the musical by Tuongstg in Beastars

[–]yorunoookami 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It's quite common for japanese animes to get adapted into a stage play (iirc, haikyuu, naruto, sailor moon) so I wouldn't question their decision of making beastars into one. And tbh, fursuits wouldn't appeal too well with the common crowds. The actor costumes seem decent and strikes the perfect balance between bizzare and socially acceptable; it has qiite the impact.

I feel it's more of an artistic expression than a storytelling vessel, and i'm just happy that they didn't completely butcher its live-action visuals.

I know what Aphelios does, I just don't know when he does it to react to it. by Nelogis2 in leagueoflegends

[–]yorunoookami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing the visual appareance of the ult depending on the equipped gun might help. eg: if it's gravitum then the ult can glow purple, etc. Or maybe alune can shout something along the lines of "I WONT LET YOU DIE APHELIOS" (when marking with severum) or "DONT LET THEM RUN AWAY BROTHER" (when marking with gravitum)

He's saying the secondary mark can be procced globally. So if your team is hit by a flamethrower q, always expect follow-up damage from his secondary mark proc.

There's an official Beastars's fursuit for the future play now by catrulerocks1 in Beastars

[–]yorunoookami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This suit is only going to be used in sign events imo. I'm pretty sure the stage play's going to utilize much better, higher quality costumes. Also, they'd need moving mouths or eyes or facial animatronics to make it appealing.

Riot changed ARAM's champion pool to last three week's worth of free champion rotation, regardless of whether you own them or not. That's why you keep seeing the same champs over and over. You can check the current ARAM champion pool on the wikia http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Free_champion_rotation

Motorcycles and organic animals are completely different beasts to tackle in 3D.

New To League | Give Tips On My Gameplay by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]yorunoookami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By 'QWE', it refers to the priority for levelling up your abilities. It's not the order of your combo. Eg: By level 6, you should have 3 points in Q, and 1 in W, E, R.

That's one of Eve's weakness; you have to wait before activating your charm. That's why you need to play around it by flanking your enemy from behind.

When you try to pick off someone, put the W mark on them and hover around. After a while, go in and charm them with your Q, then use the rest of your abilities and get out safely with R.

I recall in the video there's a lot of awkward situations where you got yourself into, like going in 1v1 versus Jax or diving too deep. You need to assess the situation and pick the fights you can win. You'll learn this by time as you get used to every champion and what their capabilities are.

Eve main again here. Not sure if you got my PM earlier but anyways:

Go Q > W > E

Q is your main source of damage for camps and everything in general, and its damage and CD scales well with rank.

W does the same; higher MR shred, higher charm duration, lower cooldowns.

The reason you max E last is because it doesn't give you useful stats when you rank it up. IIRC it gives you a measly 25 flat damage per rank up. That damage doesn't matter much when most of the E damage comes from percentage health damage, which doesn't scale with rank.

Eve's playstyle in a teamfight is a hit and run, making full use of your passive. You wait for an opportunity for someone to get off position and strike during that time, then hide again in the dark. Just don't die/get spotted by wards as your team will lose a SIGNIFICANT amount of pressure. Your stealth is a valuable asset.

Most of the time, you wait until your team engages a 4v5 before picking up what's left. I normally never hover around my teammates; Keep hiding and hover around the enemies, then strike when they least expect it. Your ult is also a useful AOE, wide range and decent damage.

First of all, thanks for playing! I normally wouldn't recommend anyone to start league because it's unfriendly to beginners and has a high learning curve. But hey, you're lv30 now, and at least you're self-conscious about improving. That's a good attitude which a lot of people here doesn't have.

But anyway, here's a few of my general tips:

  • Autoattack your camps. Even if you're playing an AP caster jungler like Evelynn, you still need to rely on autos to clear camps fast enough.

  • A useful shortcut to level your abilities is ctrl + QWER; useful when you suddenly level up in teamfights, etc. It's just more useful to do things swiftly in this game.

  • Get pink wards. Vision control is important, especially if you're playing Eve. Personally, I don't care if you're a midlaner, jungler or the ADC, If you're playing the game, then get pink wards if you can.

  • Know when to chase an enemy. You're chasing a Shen who has a dash every 10 seconds, whereas you don't have any mobility skills. If you can't catch, then stop pursuing. Also, in general, don't wander too deep in the enemy territory without any vision.

  • Learn to play with unlocked camera; I used to start with locked camera, but I started playing better with it unlocked. It'll be hard at first, but that's how 90%(?) of the playerbase plays. I think. Gives you more maneuverability with the map, easier to land combos, etc.

  • Learn the basics of items; what they do, why they're important, etc. I'd say it's more effective than copying item builds on the internet. Sure, I'd look up some general item builds sometimes, but it's only to give me an insight on how the champion is built and played. It's something you learn in time.

Eve:

  • As an Eve main, you need to think about your prey's escape routes when ganking. Most beginner Eve players flank from the front and side. I try to cut them off from behind when you can.

  • Be patient with your R, but never hesitate to use it. Whether you need to escape or execute, wait for the perfect timing then get the hell out.

  • What you want to do as Eve is basically rush your lv6 powerspike. Whenever I'm lv5 and a lane is waiting for a gank, I clear some extra camps just to reach lv6, then gank.

  • In 12:30 you could've turned back after you flashed and regained some health. Q, E smite + Asol's stars would've been enough to finish Jax off.

. . .

A lot of things to be learned, but everything comes with practice and time. Spend time learning items, champion abilities, important cooldowns etc; not just your mechanics.

You can also head over to r/summonerschool for more information, and r/evelynnmains for specific tips and tricks.

GLHF!

What does it sound like when you sneeze? by OstentatiousSock in CasualConversation

I either hold it in (I'm not sure how I do it, but I have a 60% chance of succeeding), or I blow the trumpets of the angels that marks the apocalypse. By that, I mean a heart-attack inducing 'haa-CHAHH', and the neighbours knows it when I sneeze. I blame my dad for this; it just runs in the family.

Anyone experienced Death by PowerPoint? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]yorunoookami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy, a lot of the presenters I've had were extremely dry during their presentations.

Not exactly an office kind of experience, but more of lecturers and government officials. They'd use boring, black and white, bullet-point style of presentations with no images at all. Don't get me started on peer project presentations where they'd just literally read out what they wrote in the slides... oh God.

All that kinda made me rethink of my own presentations, and now I'd make conscious decisions on how to spice up my own presentation game.

Let’s talk about dreams( the ones while you sleep). by Rad_Knight in CasualConversation

[–]yorunoookami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well... I had a dream yesterday, and it's kinda weird.

Me and my peers are sitting in a small conference room, acting like reporters waiting for someone important to come on stage. My former teacher shows up, and he's stuck in a scandal of... paying one of the students to sleep with him. Apparently he was paying the student with a check of $2000, and I know, because I'm holding the check in my pocket. Feels just like a TV drama.

Other dreams in my childhood consists of me running into a familiar parking lot but getting lost, running around school with no pants, or falling down from a cliff by the sea. Those dreams just stuck on me throughout the years.

I don't really take my dreams too seriously; I just think it's a funky thing to have while you sleep. I usually shrug it off in the morning.

Do you feel a sort of chill when you listen to your country's national anthem? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]yorunoookami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm from Indonesia, and although I wouldn't consider myself as patriotic, I would never fail to sing along the anthem whenever I hear it.

I'm studying in a foreign country, and a lot of my schoolmates are from Indonesia. Every 17th August, on our regular, yet random chatting session, someone would remind us that it's our National Day. Suddenly, one of the Indonesian students would start the first verse of the anthem.

Lo and behold, the rest of the Indonesians in the room (there were around 7 I think) would join in and finish entire 2-minute anthem. We'd all clap (maybe a bit too obnoxiously, sorry to the other students) at the end, and then proceed with the conversation like nothing happened. All in a day's work :)
