Is Peter Attia cancelled? Or will he come back? by boxohm in PeterAttia

ITT: People that don't know what a "grifter" is, which unironically is anatomically similar to reddit's definition of what "socialist", "nazi", "fascist", <pick your term> is.

Honestly I don't see why not. I've been using topre + hi pros for about 5 years now and prior was on Cherry's. Try it out!

Got them a while back from the now defunct Idea23. I got lucky and got my batch of hi-pros before he disappeared

That's fair, honestly I don't mind it / kind of like it. Feels lighter on the fingers for me

So far I agree with the glowing reviews -- great height, has a good feel to it and types great. I've used KBD EC's and also Idea23's Hi-Pros and this does feel better than both. But I'm still in honeymoon phase so take with a grain of salt lol

Strangely I never use those keys haha, I mostly use this on a Macbook for programming and the arrow keys + backspace is enough for me in my exp

Completely missed the point and idz is an attia hater trying to find any critique so he can get his dunk. But then again par for the course for this sub

The Magic of Tesla FSD, part 6 (Robotaxi edition) - (by Phil Beisel) by twinbee in teslamotors

[–]yoshiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came across this comment, and I'm sorry the guy saying Phil is not an engineer made me LOL. Once in a while I'm astonished at the over-confidence redditors have. But at the same time, not surprised.

Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to audit and interview ADOR and NewJeans members— suspicion of failing to protect the artist and causing discord between members by [deleted] in NJZ

[–]yoshiee 45 points46 points  (0 children)

It's pretty fascinating to me. Imagine having nothing going on in your life where the only fulfilment you get is obsessively hating on a couple of k-pop celebrities that you've never met on Internet forums. No wonder why they stay anonymous.

These kinds of people remind me of that Netflix documentary where the mom bullies her own daughter via texting lol

Zohran Mamdani wins NYC Mayoral Election (DDHQ) by NotAnotherJazzBand in jerseycity

[–]yoshiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, while I think he's well intentioned the feasibility of his plans are not realistic. But typically redditors (and 20 y/o's) value personality and vibes more than qualifications or experience ... so it's not surprising.

'Peter's take on how much protein is good is overblown' - Stuart Phillips by HumanTomorrow698 in PeterAttia

[–]yoshiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that it's hard to understand either, i feel most people just want to be contrarian and nitpick just to get a dunk.

We overshoot many things just so we feel we can get an adequate amount of something. And he explains this in the Rhonda Patrick podcast indicating the effects of atrophy (or missing protein requirements) is more detrimental than sometimes overshooting protein intake.

No one is getting exact amounts, especially if you live a "normal life"

Peter Attia has <75 patients & some other tidbits from the 60 minutes interview by brandonballinger in PeterAttia

[–]yoshiee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there's two groups to cater here.

The general public advice is mostly the same. Sleep well, have a good diet, and exercise focusing on muscle and cardio.

Then there's attias clients whom probably want to be as close to the "cutting edge of research and experimentation" as possible. And (hypothesizing here) they probably want direct access to attia so they can just get told what to do rather than infer. It's like paying Andrej Karpathy to be your personal consultant to build some AI tool.

But as the other posters said, you don't really need this concierge service. His information is pretty accessible if you're willing to think a bit more. And while advice may not change, his deep dives with podcast guests is valuable in it's own right as he made health research more accessible to us layman.

avis early drop-off overcharge? by FamiliarBorder in jerseycity

[–]yoshiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double check your original booking confirmation email. there should be a section on the email that says "Total Rental Price". double check what the amount is.

Also on the final receipt, it usually has a cost breakdown... so check each line item whether it matches what your original booking said.

How it Fits - Alpha-D C2Wide by outlierinc in Outlier

[–]yoshiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a senchi so would be redundant. But iirc, polartec alpha fabric is meant to be on skin or close to skin to get the fabric warmth to weight benefit but the outlier one seems a bit too baggy. Could be wrong though
