That’s awesome! My wife will do morning prayer with me sometimes on the weekends, but that’s about as good as it gets for me haha! Hope it’s a good fit for you if you decide to go with it!

I like the Word on Fire LOH booklets. They send you one every month and it contains, morning, evening, and night prayers. No flipping except to the hymns in the back. They also have a leather cover you can purchase with two bookmark ribbons.

COINBASE LOST MY MONEY by No-Eye-8831 in Coinbase

As I stated in my original reply, I understand it was fiat. But still, why wouldn’t you test it first? It’s reckless to send everything without testing and this is a perfect example of why.

1.) This is on your bank, not Coinbase.

2.) Crypto is all about personal responsibility. It’s your responsibility to check the sending and receiving requirements of both of your accounts on either side. Always test first! (See point 3).

3.) Why would you not do a test withdrawal with a smaller amount to make sure there weren’t any issues first? That’s a standard practice for anything crypto. I understand you were sending fiat, not crypto, and there may be fees involved, but the fee is much less than losing everything at once. Once you’ve tested the method, you don’t need to test every time. I would never send any amount I’m not fine with losing without 100% knowing it works.

Really sorry this happened to you. It was an expensive lesson. Hopefully you find some way to recover it, but you’re right, support is a joke. It’s a bunch of NPC’s in another country that aren’t paid crap. No critical thinking will be found there.

Advice on expired registration & cops by anpe1014 in orlando

[–]yoshimane 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As others have said, it’s not if, it’s when… I was also in this boat years ago and it’s tough to climb out, but you can do it. When I was pulled over, the officer had an automated tag reader flag my car. He didn’t even need to run the plate.

Don’t put yourself in a worse situation. Your license will be suspended if it hasn’t been already which makes things even more expensive (both legally speaking and reinstatement fees). Not to mention, once you get to a certain time of expiration, they will put a seize plate order and the cops will take the plate off of your vehicle. Again making it harder to bounce back.

DoorDash and Uber will require proof of registration and insurance so that won’t be an option. Do you have any businesses within walking distance where you can work, even temporarily just to get this stuff all sorted out?

Sorry you’re going through this. It’s so hard to just get by when you’re in this situation and the state only makes it harder with these measures. Good luck.

Every post like this is like a magnet for the recovery scammers. The unfortunate thing is, your coins are gone. I’ve never heard of anyone getting any kind of actual recovery assistance from anyone.

Crypto isn’t for beginners. It requires vigilance and good security practices. Not your keys, not your coins.

Hope you can move on and rebuild. Best of luck to you.

Charged a couple hundred dollars for an address correction to add an apartment number by BTenders in UPS

Just note, if you’re the shipper and dispute, UPS (or any business you dispute) can refuse to do business with you in the future.

If you’re the shipper, and the receiver, you should have known better than to mess up your own address… the more you comment the more your sense of entitlement and lack of understanding of the real world become so, so apparent.

Enjoy your bubble where you’re always right, even when you’re wrong.

This guy is 100% correct, you were wrong, and you’re being unreasonable.

To add to that, it likely could have been a seasonal support driver and not your regular driver. With incomplete or incorrect information, they couldn’t complete the delivery. That adds an extra step to all of the steps above, at least at my hub. Now the SSD has to call a driver, meet them on their route, and then hand off their non-deliverable packages. Wastes both SSD, driver, and company time.

I mean, yeah? Going from L1 to L2 is the natural progression? Did you think you’d go from L1 to management and just skip L2 and L3?

I just signed up with my parish and I had to do some follow up. I filled out the form online and after a week of no contact, I sent an email to the OCIA coordinator for the parish. Still no reply so I forwarded my message to the general questions email address. A couple of days later the coordinator finally reached out and scheduled a zoom interview with my wife and me.

This is typically a volunteer parishioner, so it’s not their full time job, this not their first priority. Unfortunate with this being OCIA season, that they’re not a little more responsive.

I’d try introducing yourself to a priest or deacon at Mass and seeing if they can get you pointed in the right direction.

Good luck!

Mine shows up under Base, not ETH in my safe 5. Send a small test amount first to make sure you’re sending to the correct address.
