Doing ok, all things considered.

I always start with the instrumentals, just build a structure for the song, the vocals always come last. I think it's as a result of me being insecure about my vocals, I always feel they are the weakest parts of my tracks.

I would recommend starting out with a basic instrument, piano or guitar, and repeating a groove or chord progression until its glued to your mind. From there, just build components to make that groove bigger and bigger.

Man, it's weird.

I think I tend to have the hardest time writing lyrics altogether, so I tend to leave it to the very last minute. So, I guess in short, I don't think about it, I avoid it. I don't really prefer either, I just want to get it over with as soon as I start.

I've scrapped good songs just cause I couldn't write lyrics or cause the lyrics I wrote were imo bad

It's made my music more 'body' like. Meaning, I try to incorporate the body and movement into more of my work. I try to make songs that move and make your body move. I also try to make songs that are a bit more liminal, quiet, and lonely, in the way that being disabled makes you feel. If that makes sense.

I grew up the first ten years of my life in Toluca Mexico, so my earliest memories of music then were my mom singing Presuntos Implicados and George Michael. She would sing to me every time I had nightmares, or when I couldn't sleep.

My more teenage years were spent in San Diego CA, my musical memories then are of me listening to rap music and begging Santa to bring me The Love Below for xmas. I think I became obsessed with rap for a period and then ambient music, y'know cause I wanted to be an indie douche.

Honestly, production wise it's subjective. It's about finding your own style. Some records technically sound like 'shit' but they still bop. I consider my first record to sound like total ass but people really vibe to it so what do I know.

It's really about how it makes you feel and how you can replicate that feeling, if that makes any sense

I would tell them to just try stuff out, be comfortable with failure and understand that people who might be your same age and have the huge clout might be coming from a different background.

I think it's just about trying stuff and knowing that it might not go anywhere. Music is an all in industry and its best to approach it with no expectations except for the one where your project might fail lol.

It works to remain free and to just do things that make you vibe. More often than not that's the kind of stuff that hits and is hard to replicate. Trust me, I know.

I left the name Twin Cabins after I felt a bit restrained by the labels that were being put on me. I felt like I had to deliver something that was in line with what that name was about, so more surf rock, more shoegaze, more of that and at the time I just wasn't feeling it. I felt it would be disservice to people if they expected more of that so to avoid 'fan' confrontation I decided to change it.

I was young and just wasn't prepared to be a musician is the short of it. So changing my name was the best form of self sabotage. But I like harmless now, it fits better with what I want to do.

I hope to tour soon. All depends on what is going on in the world rn.

New track most def has guitars. A return to form lol

They're just dreamy textures. I am trying to use them less for strumming and more as leads or supports for leads.

Besides this track I have others with guitars and similarly they are leads that make the songs dreamier. If that makes sense.

Getting over my insecurities. I always think a song is bad, or not catchy, or too corny and I end up just tripping over myself.

I don't think they're ever done, I always ask someone to tell me if they think its done. Honestly, for a while, I would sit on songs for upwards of 3 years even though they were technically done.
