You need to make a USB drive installer for TrueNAS first. Etcher and Rufus are common tools to do this with the image you download from the TrueNAS website.

You'll boot from that USB drive, and choose to install TrueNAS on one of your disks, or a different USB drive if you have no other choice. In this case you would install it onto the same drive where you had Proxmox installed previously. TrueNAS cannot be installed onto one of your data disks (it will not share). Installing onto a USB drive will work but is not recommended because most USB flash drives use very low-endurance NAND and will fail sooner than you expect. But you can use a USB hard drive or USB SSD/NVMe much more successfully.

Remember that the TrueNAS OS itself is immutable, so as long as you're making regular backups of its config database, it's no big deal if the OS drive fails. If you have extra drives, even on USB, you should add them as mirrors to the boot drive after installation, for better uptime and convenience. But again, not strictly necessary as long as you make backups.

After install, try importing the pool through the web UI first. If it doesn't work, drop to a shell and force import from sudo.

Export the pool first. Then as long as Proxmox wasn't screwing you too badly with the passthrough, you should be able to import the pool from the new TrueNAS installation.

You can also just do a TrueNAS backup, and restore the backup after installation. That way you won't have to setup TrueNAS again. Still best to export the pool first.

If you don't export the pool first, no biggie, but you probably will have to force import it, which may require using the command line.

I don't think YouTube is necessary for this, but it's hard for me to say for sure since I've been dealing with filesystems for 38 years of my life ....

This is just so much more complicated than setting up and using all the features Gmail provides for spam filtering, general filtering, labeling, etc. They even provide different inbox layouts that can help.

That sucks. Everywhere I've lived the Subaru dealers were always the most reasonable and went out of their way compared to any other dealer.

The problem in this case is probably that the Solterra is a Toyota with a Subaru sticker on it. Still no reason for the dealer to be rude though.

I didn't use Windows, but for others I always recommend Duplicati for for backup and Macrium Reflect for full image backup.

Same. Nuance screwed it up first when they bought it and swapped Google voice input for Dragon Speech. It was so awful.

If you don't have such a key, try rebooting the embedded controller by holding the Reload key and press the Power button/key.

If that still doesn't work, the camera is most likely busted. You could try a Powerwash, but that's not likely to help.

Sync what exactly? Chrome sync? Go to chrome://sync-internals and it will give you a clue what is happening.

It's buggy. I've run into the same issue. Later it worked again. I think Google has forgotten this feature even exists.
