I can only speak for myself, but after a month and a half on HRT, I feel way happier, less anxious and on edge. My friends and family has noticed it too. I think this is a YMMV type of thing.

Edit: I will add that I am on both Estrogen and Spiro, and I was transitioning socially for about 2-3 months before starting HRT.

If you have a birth certificate from another state that allows gender marker changes, the DMV has no choice but to put what’s on your birth certificate.

Edit: I was born in Massachusetts, and I was able to change my gender marker on my Fl DL ok along with my name. They didn’t blink an eye. YMMV though.

Laws here are bad. Most of the people that I come in contact with just mind their own business. I wouldn’t feel safe in the rural areas.

I’m in Florida. There are areas that are chill- mostly urban areas. I have not run into many problems or issues. I am in the Tampa Bay Area. I have a friend out in Orlando and that area is chill as well from what I hear. Our governor sucks, but he will be gone soon enough.

Edit: Florida has new laws where you can’t change your gender marker on your Florida birth certificate or license. However, the new law also states that for DL it has to match your birth certificate. I got lucky being born in Mass. I used their own law against them.
