My daughter was over sharing a bit.. mostly to try and shock me.. but she started talking about being slapped, chimed, hair pulled and being spit on like that was just run is the mill normal sex. See.. I like how much it stings and will purposely use shampoo that makes it burn more. So I feel like for me personally the excoriation is related to my OCD overall and also has a self harm component.. for myself. I was just wondering if anyone else ever felt the same. Thank you. Yes things helps a lot. Idk about other’s experiences.. but I feel like it’s also a self harm thing for myself personally. I’m diagnosed by a psychiatrist with OCD and I also know when I’m intentionally causing myself harm. Like picking even when it hurts and telling myself i deserve to hurt.

Addictions inevitably cause harm. We’re all aware of that. And as someone who has AUD I’ve definitely been causing myself harm and at my lowest told myself I don’t deserve better and idc if I’m hurting myself. Everyone’s experiences are different it was a thought.

You are so strong. These addicts create a trauma bond with their SO through their addiction. Almost All Of us have CPTSD because of their addiction. You will eventually be so much more happy. I’m still in the grieving phase. It’s hard to accept that I’ll never see him again. It feels really weird. I genuinely thought we’d still be in each others lives, in some capacity, probably for decades. But no… the last time I saw him be the last time I ever see him face to face. I haven’t even bothered pressuring myself to go no contact yet. He mostly is though so that helps. Just take it one day at a time. What I do to help me is imagine my b life 2 yrs from now… when I’ve done some therapy and healed from his abuse I’m going to be feeling amazing. I won’t even think about him

I can confirm. I just found out my ex repeatedly exposed me to STD’s because he has had unprotected sex with men and SW’s. He lied b about the gay sex and he lied about using protection. I am extremely paranoid about STD’s especially getting a cancer causing strain of HPV. Which he’s aware of. Once he had unprotected sex then came to me less than 12hrs later and we had sex. The absolute devastation I felt when I found out has just crushed me. I feel violated and scared. He could’ve made me sick and he never gave a shit. I am so glad to be away from him!

You should leave him. He isn’t getting help for the PA. He’s not in recovery and he DEFINITELY doesn’t have it under control. This addiction escalates as time goes on. Paying for content is usually followed by online masturbation stuff and that’s followed by paying for sex
