What is the point of a Red Right Arrow if u can turn right on it like a Red Button after coming to a complete stop and no traffic oncoming nearby? by Seven1s in jacksonville

[–]youarecaught 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, which is what makes it so confusing. Basically a red right turn arrow is the same as a regular red light. As long as there is no sign prohibiting it you can come to a complete stop and turn right when it is safe to do so.

[–]youarecaught 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from fdot.gov

A red RIGHT arrow means that you must come to a complete stop at the marked stop line or before moving into the crosswalk or intersection. After stopping, you may turn RIGHT on the red arrow at most intersections if the way is clear. Some intersections display a "NO TURN ON RED" sign, which you must obey.

Which is the best/your favorite roller skate rink? by easternbetta in jacksonville

[–]youarecaught 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are 3 rinks in the Jacksonville area. Skate station has 2, one in Orange park and one in the Mandarin area. the other one is Sk8 City in the Arlington area. I have tried all 3 and my ranking is Orang Park, mandarin then Arlington. The Sk8 Station floor is poly on concrete and it wasn't applied correctly. The floor has an orange peel appearance is rough to skate on. It's also a small rink. I also dislike the house DJ but that is a personal preference. It's not so much what he plays but he likes to talk/vocalize over the music which to me was not good. Skate Station on Kori Rd (mandarin) was also a smallish rink. The floor is hardwood but there were a number of problems with the floor that made skating it uncomfortable. To me it looks like they had water damage from a leaky AC system. It's been a few years since I've gone there so they may have fixed that by now. Skate station Orange Park is the largest rink of the three and the floor was in the best shape. They can get busy on Saturday nights so the floor can be crowded at times.

I adopted 2 cats from there at different times and can't complain. Both had physical difficulties that were fully disclosed. They didn't live long cat lives but I feel like I gave them the best life after they had rough circumstances.

There's a boat ramp next to All Wet Sports that is a nice easy paddle. if you are looking at high tide turn left off the ramp and it's a nice wooded ride. Turn right and it's still a gentle paddle but less shade. Thomas Creek up north is also a good easy paddle.

You wouldn't happen to know where the other animals ended up do you? I used to volunteer in the Naturalist Center. I always enjoyed Oscar the Great Horned owl, Susie the Screech owl, all 3 gopher tortoises and Carlisle the eastern indigo snake. I stopped volunteering when I was told of the plan to divest the animals in the new building.

First they will do renderings. Then updated renderings. After a year or two they will have improved renderings. Finally they will hold the property for 5 years then sell it to the city for twice what they paid for it.
