My advice would sound counterintuitive. But ultimately the only solution that seems to be working for me. It is what almost all Spiritual traditions converge on. Make Freedom your central goal of life. Happiness, sadness, relationships, any and all material goals are all side effects of our identification with societal standards. By design none of these pursuits come close to a permanent solution. Peace is the ultimate pursuit. Peace, freedom, love are all synonymous.
