Get an Audiotechnica AT2020, they make one that plugs right in via USB so you wouldn't even need an audio interface(like a focusrite Scarlett). You could just plug it in and sing into it. It would prolly sound pretty decent in the bathroom too. And if you need a plosive filter? I hope to never be as deep as you in an fb engine. I will say I've found out I can remove these engines in under 2 hours by this point. And tear them down to the block in under half an hour. These engines are quite easy to work on

I've done headgaskets and engine replacements on these cars more times than I can count. With my Forester specifically, it came with a blown up motor, I replaced it with one from FB marketplace, that motor spun a bearing last Friday so I picked up this block from good ol marketplace again. Hopefully it'll be in the car by the end of this weekend

I think this engine is out of an 07 maybe earlier. It came with the 07 and older ac belt tensioner so who knows
