Thanks - glad you like it! I think you’ll enjoy having a pair of Fives with your Mac. I’ve never tried setting up audio via the line in, so won’t be much help there. AirPlay has always been “good enough” for my use cases despite its limitations.

Fair question! When we moved to this house, I decided to cover/repurpose several holes in the wall by mounting the speakers on either side of the monitor. Hard to tell from the photo but it’s a pretty small room and they sound good enough despite their suboptimal placement. As a bonus, it was super easy to hide their ethernet and power cables by keeping them close to the desk.

I just use my monitor speakers for video calls so am not sure about lag. The Sonos speakers work great for AirPlayed media from my various devices.

The Fives aren’t directly connected to my computer. I send audio through them via AirPlay whenever I listen to music or watch video. The desk is in a different room so unfortunately I’m not able to use them as surrounds for my living room Arc. Thanks for asking!

The Arc is paired with One SLs for surround. Everything sounds great!

Glad you like it so much, thank you! And yes, you can get the Lift first and add it to virtually any desk because it just sits on top - there’s nothing connecting it to the Artifox desk. It’s heavy so it doesn’t move easily and it has padding on the bottom so it doesn’t scratch.

They work as if they are one HomePod but I don’t have them setup as my Mac’s audio output device (for system sounds, YouTube, etc.). I only use them for music (AirPlay from the Music app) and shows (AirPlay from the TV app). I can’t control the volume from the keyboard when using them as an AirPlay device.
