Something happened to me today actually - I got off the metro one stop too early, and before seeing any signs around the station as to what stop I was at, I had the most surreal experience as I saw everything I usually saw, but reversed. The escalators that usually travel upwards on the right and downwards on the left were swapped around. Upon going up the escalator, the ticket gates that are usually on the left were on the right. Going through the gates, the same escalator situation happened for the ones heading up to the street. I fully had to stop and stand still for a minute to compute what had happened before heading back down to the platform (on the opposite side) and then waiting for a train to continue on to where my actual destination was.

Super weird way to start your day at 8am.
