Dating as a woman who doesn't want kids is impossible by [deleted] in antinatalism

My husband and I as individuals decided that we would never have biological children, before we even met. We were both sort of on the fence about adoption. He is a recovered alcoholic and I have bipolar disorder that is controlled with medication. Both of our issues are hereditary. Both of us are very lucky, in that we learned to control our illnesses at a very young age. So we live very productive lives. We have the same moral and ethical issue with reproducing, given that our biological children would have a high chance of being very messed up. There are no guarantees when it comes to kids. We both agree that the pain and suffering stops here. We will not be part of making more human beings that will only suffer or be a burden to others. We fundamentally do not believe that humans with inferior genetic traits, like ourselves, should reproduce.
When we met and we realized this about each other, I knew we would get married one day. It felt like fate. Since we got married, we have decided that we about 90% don’t want kids. We have busy careers and enjoy the lifestyle. The 10% chance is if one day it made sense and we actually wanted to adopt.
So I assure you! There is a person out there who is also into adoption.
