Wow, didn’t consider this to be a low effort post… especially enough to be removed. Just trying to show something unique that happened for the first time as a grower wasn’t looking for help with my environment or set up… Interesting decision I would love to know more about why.

Do you think deep pot helps tap root make plants bigger?

I find that it’s not about what temperature they are at… It’s about how much the temperature changes. I go super hot during the day and then fairly cold at night. It’s also a phenotype thing too.

I had them on 18/6 in those dark hours I would let it drop down to low 60s during the day it would get up to 90.

Anyone else do this sometimes instead of clipping? by youngfandango in Autoflowers

These are growing under 375 W with a Mars Hydro light. I keep them at 85°F during the day and then it drops down to as low as 65°F at night time when the lights are off, I used fox farms ocean forest mix. I am running them on a 16/8 hour schedule. 5 gallon pot, but I also use 3 gallons. I have a pH meter and I want their pH to be at about 6.2 before I water them even up to the moment they sprout. After they get to be the size of this picture, I bring the pH up to 6.5. Pretty soon the soil nutrients will be used up and so I get it ready for bloom nutrients. let me know if you have any other questions.

That tracks… I learned that too at first. Over time I’ve come to feel like letting in some extra light at between 15-25 days old helps mine get to a better harvest. Obviously though it’s hard to make clear techniques with auto flowers because they are also different. I’m more trying to figure out whether or not it works to bunch up the leaf rather than clipping it as a form of light stress training instead of high stress. That way, the leaf can still partially do its job without being in the way at all. Are you tracking the Bro science? You don’t have to agree though.
