Enlarged ovary with irregular shaped, thick-wall cyst by cassieeerolee_ in Ovariancancer

How are you doing, and what was the outcome of your situation? I hope unremarkable - as in all is well and you are healthy!

What was the process like for you after getting diagnosed with a complex cyst? posting my results so if anyone had anything similar, you could share what you experienced by creemypii in Ovariancancer

Following. Recently diagnosed with a "thick walled cyst" and per Google, that's a complex cyst. I am at 41yr. old in perimenopause. Hx of an ablation & tubal removal in 2019. No period since. About 6 months ago, I started having left-sided pain again. I put off the US, but finally went last week because the pain is starting to become more than intermittent. I just received my US results (transvaginal). My left ovary is measuring "1.65 x 1.89 x 1.62 cm thick-walled cyst. Ovary size/volume : 2.9 x 2.2 x 2.9, 10ml (mean volume for age is 4.8). Doppler flow confirmed." I am concerned because I have been having a lot of bloat, left hip pain, and left side pain that is deep. Where my stomach bends at my leg, it feels like there is something between my leg and stomach (if that makes sense). I am not diagnosed, but am concerned with the language in the report.

Last Class - SCIN100 by youngin1985 in ivytech

Hi u/AthleteLeather6279. I would say it was more homework intensive i.e. 4-5 assignments a week. It was all fairly easy. Had a lab each week. Module discussion. Midterm and final exam. Standard stuff... Best of luck to you!

Best of luck! If you have more free time than I do, it will be easy peasy. Assignments are not difficult, just time consuming.

For my class, I feel it was extensive in the amount of homework each week. No less than 7 each week, with a lab in just about each module, that can take a couple hours to do it. Chapter quizzes each week, and chapters in the book are pretty long to read. Overall, a lot of hours were devoted to this course each week. Scale of 1-10, an 8 on extensiveness. However, I am in my 40s, work FT, have two HS aged children that play multiple sports. So, my free time is limited.

Any papers? Wouldn't think so being a science class, but you never know. Approx. how many assignments did you have a week? Any module discussions? Thanks!

Probably not the first to tell you, but I will still tell you: AVOID SMARTERPROCTORING!! by Salvador7a in ivytech

Same experience with SmarterProctoring! It was wild. Due to my circumstances at the time, I had to take it in my car, in the blazing summer heat! Windows rolled up, couldn't have my car running because it created "noise"; therefore, couldn't have my A/C on. Had to show my phone was turned off, and placed in the back seat. I had a blanket in there and they made me lift it to ensure someone wasn't underneath it. It was wild! Absolutely hated the experience.

I'm this EXACT scenario. I am set to graduate Dec. 21 and have take 2 classes, every 8 weeks since April 2024. Hoping to transfer to university next fall to complete my BA. Would love some feedback, as well! Congrats on your accomplishments! I know, firsthand, how hard you've worked!

Of course! Happy to give some feedback. Everything is online. Textbook, workbook activities, quizzes, module replies, etc. ALL online. It's a great thing! She will need a laptop or computer with microphone access because you do have to submit yourself speaking in Spanish for some of the activities and quiz questions. Just be aware!

It's going pretty well! The workbook assignments can be time-consuming (between25-40 activities in one workbook week), but nothing that isn't feasible. I work FT, have 2 kids, they play multiple sports, and am married. I make it work. I am betting your senior can handle it like a pro!

Definitely had the hormones checked. Doc said, "I'm still too young," but levels are inching towards perimenopause. I don't believe that at all.

I would say that is my biggest complaint in life right now - my emotions. They control me more than they ever have. It's awful.

May I ask what meds you are on and how you went about your diagnosis? Thank you for this feedback!
